I get that he is a mutant which is why he is super strong, but how are some reglar humans able to keep up with him?

One of the thing I hate to see in about any work at all, are side characters couple love stories. And it seem this manga got one so Im close to dropping it, but I will give it some more chapters.
Why is everyone taking the superpower thing so normaly, like shouldn't you at least be shocked and questioning how a person actually has superpowers?
I think everyone agrees, if the whole thing is not AI generated, then this at the least has some AI in it. Feels odd.
