He was indeed kinda "bitter" to her but he does not hate her which was clearly seen in the last 20 chapters he does care for her, well that’s a fact in her 2nd life. Regina is the one who hates her father because in her 1st life we could see that he was one of the main cause why everything went downhill + the father did not really care for his children and didn’t listen to her when she told him about her worries and about Theodore ans his way of spending and stuff
