I don't understand the webtoon decisions of making YJH some stoic rage please show the vulnerable emotions that he has, stop cutting his emotions and show the awesome person that he is please. He is the protagonist because he is the most noble in spite of all the hurt! He walks ahead even with all the suffering that's why KDJ was able to live reading his novel!!!!

You read the novel and expect him to show his noble side, which makes you think, " Wow, no wonder KDJ was his fan and managed to drudge through the awful info-dumping novel that is 'Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse', which most people gave up on. And if they are trying to appease the dudebros .... spoiler alert ..... he literally stopped his regression to be with KIM DOKJA, who is only in this round like. ridiculous.
Yes, I read the novel too and Yoo Joonghyuk is my favorite character. But sadly in the manhwa Yjh is only used for hype aura moments like yeah I know he's cool as well but bring back his emotions. Joonghyuk is such an emotional wreck of a character in a novel. He's harsh, sometimes caring, sometimes polite, sometimes struggles to convey his feelings, sometimes he acts rashly, sometimes he feels hopeless, sometimes he loves a lot, and sometimes he hates a lot. Those are the things that make him feel human. If you ask manhwa only readers about Yjh's feeling about kdj they'd say he cares but not as much a Kdj does. Which is very wrong. It's clear in the novel that the dependency between them aren't one-sided. The manhwa shows how much Kdj cares for Yjh because that's what the story about. If you remove Kdj not ever caring for YJH then that isn't ORV anymore so they instead removed a lot of scenes where Yjh is human so that at least they can make the manhwa very typical shonen that can appease dude-bros.
Some manhwa onlies would say that Yjh is emotionless. Idk but just thinking about how some ppl actually think that he is infuriates me.
They removed a lot of scenes to appease the shonen type of audience even though the ones that are dedicated to the source material are fujoshis. The company only cares about appeasing fujos when it's time for merch release. The authors are also unfortunately held hostage by naver. I feel bad for them they're great writers! The authors also got harassed by immature men because they described Kdj as pretty and bc the scenes he's in with Yjh screams gay. And surprise, the fujos are now the ones to blame for that apparently. Ppl had been twisting the story that the fujos are the one that harassed the authors:/
It's really unfair so sometimes you just gotta stick to reading the novel and just vibing with the ppl you have the same interpretations with.
(I really hated chapters 220-221 of the manhwa, I really felt so angry when it got released. I waited for that since it's one of my favorite scenes and they just butcher it like that? Please. Yjh's literally lost his lifeline and your telling me he's just standing there?)
I'll give you guys some general spoilers so that you guys can stop freaking out
- It's going to be a happy ending with ML and MC
- Yes Ain is the Duke and the reason why he is acting as a servant is because he is basically toying with the idea about killing the MC. He was going to do that the first time they met. You can look at the chapter where his eyes were weird when he asked the MC about choosing between flowers and luggage. That was a test which MC passed, so ML decided to do some more.
- Everything is for revenge by ML
Why MC? Did he do something to ML?
- The MC being born is the reason for half of his misery, the other half is his own birth as an illegitimate child in North, where they are treated as an object. MC's father was a famous devoted man who did not have lovers, but that was a facade. When MC mother was pregnant with MC, his father got a slave from north and used them to relieve his desire. MC family all knew but looked the other way and treated the slave as not a human being and thus there is no lover. And that is the ML. So ML wanted to destroy this family and kill the most cherished son MC.
HOW DID THIS GET A HAPPY ENDING?
- MC is very determined and even though he cries, he still trudges on with his ideas. ML likes his resolve to protect him and gives up his plan to kill MC. But he still carries on with his revenge on everyone else who wronged him.
- In an alternative world side story where ML was never able to get away from MC's noble house, MC falls in love with his father's "servant" and ML decides to spare him by kidnapping him away while destroying the family again showing MC will always fall for him.
The artist has shown glimpses of the dark side in passing, through symbolism. I really liked how ML changed to loving MC. and another thing MC doesn't get tall or change too much cause not much time has passed.

How will they be related? ML father is the Duke of the North, and his mother is a woman from the south. MC parents are South married nobility. Just cause MC father used ML sexually doesn't mean they suddenly become related lol
Yes it was horrific child abuse, ML is 15 years older than the MC. ML is an illegitimate child of the Duke of North, born to a southern woman who thought they would get married. It is already explained in the mahwa that the North territory doesn't tolerate illegitimate children or affairs, but they can have relationships with anyone before marriage, the opposite of the Southern territory.

- Being friends is something that was made up to make this a legitimate reason for ML to help them.
- ML killed MC father, 1st brother, while making MC's 3rd brother run away with a maid in a roundabout way. You will see the mystery unfold.
- ML made circumstances that would give MC 2nd brother the idea of selling MC off to be married. He didn't know ML was the duke, but he was desperate for money as he was a gambler. (ML quietly stirred up every problem in the MC family. You can see his shadowy hands working, MC laments about when things started to go wrong in his family in the first chapters)
- ML thought MC was a pure entity and an unfortunate casualty. But later decided to keep him cause he liked him. ML changed his name to MC to signify that he was the bride. He is talking revenge on his own fucked up family as well.
