I didn't say the story was overated. It was the trope. And people can have different tastes and opinions. Who cares if someone doesn't like a manwha you like? that's just normal. Also theres no specific appearance or thing that should be followed when it comes to manwhas... what are you on??? the reason I also said its overated because tropes like these are what's usually more normalized in the yaoi community for the past years, so people will go nuts when they see that their usual alpha top turns out to be a bottom (im talking about "those" girls).

Exactly, I agree. The New Employee didn’t really follow the usual tropes. Yeah, the uke was smaller than the seme, but he wasn’t “petite.” He was pretty normal sized and fit. The seme also wasn’t super big and overly muscular. Compared to most manhwa, both of them were drawn to look pretty regular. Plus, as you said, the uke wasn’t a pushover. He was intelligent and independent, not some weak, small pitiful uke. The seme understood that and treated him with respect. The story was actually refreshing. The story above, while the uke is buff, everything else is generic and trope-y, so I find the op’s comment pretty ironic.

right. so a story cannot be considered overrated just because your personal taste in body difference of a couple doesn't match the ones being portrayed in the story. that's just dislike, not it being overrated, because the story is actually good.
