god damn this is an insane read. never reading this again but it was a good story all the way tl the end. i like how the author didnt mix so much romance with the bdsm at the start, but fucking heewon at the start he did so much shit and never justified himself, being overly controlling and crossing the emotional line they set, even if he wanted to act like a dom that was just an excuse to act irrational and do whatever he wanted without explanation. wookyung is another thing entirely, only thing i didnt like was that we didnt really get to understand with wookyung why he was seeking all that torture and extreme pain, and even his moment of finally using his safe word felt rushed, i wish it could have been more long or planned out. maybe because the story was in his pov it felt unblanaced, it would have helped to see more of heewon to understand him better. overall, it was a very good story for me, good for people looking for bdsm and complicated characters and relationships.
having being actively suicidal in the recent past i understand more than ever jiho and the things he feels and says to young, im reading this at 3am and im thinking if i had made the desicion to end my life i would have never found this story and the reflection of my pain that is so beautifully expressed here. the author saying this is a story about jiho "i want to die" and young "life has no meaning" makes it even more profound to me, it would seem they're opposites but their lives have the same scars that made them fit together. many of jiho's behaviours remind me of bpd symptoms (some i also have, since i have bpd), so maybe its not the best idea to read sometjing that makes me feel so painfully aware of the loneliness that doesnt ever seem likely to go away, but reading the comments kinda makes it all better, even if sometimes its just people fighting over stupid shit..
reread this after a while, didnt expect it to turn into the amnesia plot. even so its good angst, i like how its not easy for gyuha or chaeyoung, and the conflicting emotions they both have. hope they resolve their fight before he has his memories, it would be better imo, also poor kids give them back their dads
it wouldve made the series too long but horus losing his memories to become a god wouldve been so cool to read, i wanna see seth being angsty and pining

these two are one of my favorite couples ive read, not the best, not the most romantic or the most honest or the most healthy, but still my favorite because of their differences and how they overcome them. ive seen so many comments in my time reading nectar talking abt how frustrating they are, or how its been 4 volumes and they still have the same issues, but thinking abt it more seriously thats what I love about them. takahiro's internal conflicts with his own sexualidad and how it interacts with a heteronormative society, mareo's confidence attitude at work contrasting his deep-rooted insecurities in his romantic relationship, takahiro's ex and mareo's ignorance to how straight men and gay men lead different lives and how his carefree attitude hurts takahiro more than relieve him.. whenever ppl said this frutrated him i didnt agree but i also didnt disagree, but this new volume really surprised me in a very good way, i think the more frequent pov changes help us understand both of them more, i cant wait for them to see eachother more clearly and be happy, but at the same time the slow (romantic) pace of their relationship is so dear to me. i just love them
damn cant wait to see how their relationship progresses, ive never read a yaoi that talks abt philosophy, hope they include it more so i can learn a bit
