Omg!!! I can't believe we could have gotten a GL story instead of a BL, if the author hadn't been told that the latter was a better fit.
I hated it when the ml didn't blame himself for forcing Geumhwan into sex in chapter 21, but rather the "curse" his stepfather invented. Great way to deflect responsibility. It's a pretty big red flag if your partner reacts to your refusal to kiss and acting scared by forcing you into intimacy and sex. Geumhwan himself wondered in his mind whether he was wrong to think that Seungjae might be different from the others.
Didn't Geumhwa instruct Seungjae (the ml) to avoid activities that would cause sweating during the tattooing process? You'd think that sex would also be avoided. At least they avoided the ml's back hitting the floor.
Yikes, I thought just touching their faces and talking would hurt with those wounds, let alone kissing. I don't understand why the author made them have sex right after Geumhwa (the mc) was raped. He's probably in pain and possibly even had his ass ripped off by his shitty ex, so why on earth would he enjoy sex right after that??? I understand it was consensual, but it still felt wrong. What was I thinking when I gave this five stars the first time I read it...
I thought he smoked a cigar in chapter 1, but turns out it was a vape- kind of thing. (Not that it matters which one it was.)
Sigh, I'm so disappointed for how their interraction went in chapters 23 and 24. There were multiple other ways to have them have their fight, but somehow the author still decided to go with the worst one... Well, I started reading this so I'm hanging here till the end.
The story was great and all, but I just can't understand the part where Miyasaka tried to rape Iwaki (Katou's husband), and they still remained friends. Like, everything is suddenly forgotten in chapter 58, when everyone gathers around a grilling party on the main couple's home. Wtf.
Btw If you don’t remember who Miyasaka and Onozuka are, they are Katou's actor friends who went to a group-sex thing together.
