I really love how this story refers to the novel 'night on the galactic railroad' also known as 銀河鉄道の夜 (ginga tetsudo no yoru). I remember reading the novels when I was younger and loving it. Several manga/movies/songs allude to this story also (like this yaoi) so I highly recommend it to those who might be interested (•ө•)♡

As a side note, just in case someone was wondering, Youji did not get transferred to China (the country) as mentioned in chapter 2, but instead he was transferred to a location located in western Japan called Chugoku (similar to Kansai, Kanto) which is the same name they use for China. That's why they were able to meet up easily and Aikawa saying he'll take the train to meet him.
