I wouldn’t say so he’s more focused on just revenge and there’s no romance really. The female characters are strong and aren’t just used solely for the sake of being a love interest. I think this manwha is pretty good so I recommend you try it :)

ok so get ready bc ive written a lot : basically, ian was sold into sex slavery when he was just a kid (younger than 10 yo i believe, literally just a baby), bc northern kids were often sold as slaves and prostitutes to southern nobles.
a bit of context : the north is very liberal about sexual relationships but once you're married you're basically loyal to your spouse for the rest of your life, no cheating is allowed. The south instead, has a strong concept of chastity and premarital relationships are forbidden (for both men and women) though many actually have sexual relationships in secret while preaching chastity and even after marriage it's kind of normal to have mistresses.
-> ian's mom was a southern woman who had sex with the shelleg's head of family (who is norhern) and thought he would marry her and never cheat on her bc of tradition but then had to face the truth that she got tricked bc she was a foreigner and ended up killing herself

the one who bought ian was michel's father, who was a pedophilic rapist fucking monster. he had him serve as his sex slave bc his wife was currently pregnant with michel and he couldn't do anything with her. michel's brothers abused and raped ian as well.
one night ian was sick with a high fever but michel's father still went to his room and raped him. right when it was over, a servant called for him to go to his wife bc she went into labor and in that moment ian resolved of taking revenge and how : he would destroy his rapists' family and take the newborn baby. his reason for taking the baby is that ian being a kid who has a distorted and messed up view of the world after all he's been through (plus the fact that he has a high fever that puts him into delirium) concludes that the newborn baby is as good as "his own" since it was born while ian was being raped by the father. the newborn baby is michel, who does not recall ian from his childhood at all. then, i dont really remember how but shelleg finds ian and adopts him into the family as his illegitimate son, and uses that to get closer to the anatole family (michel's family), which is why it says at the beginning of the manhwa that ian and michel's father were still close even when he was an adult (poor ian). the shelleg family also mistreats ian, especially his stepmom and stepbrothers.

at first and for the most part of the novel, ian feels hatred towards michel bc he's the son of his rapist, but also some kind of twisted affection since he saw him as 'his' son. his plan at first is to kill whoever is sent to marry him (he didnt want to marry anyone but michel's brother forced his hand and didnt tell him he sent michel specifically), but is more and more confused and has mixed feelings when he discovers that michel is not like his brothers and father and has good in his heart. everyday he wishes he could kill him and then cant get through with it bc of the genuine affection michel shows him. he was expecting michel to be arrogant and selfish and as much as a monster as his family but it's not the case. ian has suicidal thoughts and he secretly hopes for michel to kill him once he learns everything, bc dying by michel's hand would be like karma to him. michel learns more and more about ian's past, especially when one of his brothers come to visit them and try to abuse ian and michel protects him. the ending is shown as a happy ending as they end up together n stuff but it is very bittersweet bc michel never learns that ian was the reason for his family's downfall and never learns of his whole betrayal plan. ian never told him bc he knows that if michel learns the truth he will never forgive him.
the there are the side stories, which are even worse bc none of them have a good ending

one is omegaverse in which most everything is the same (except there are abo dynamics) but then michel gets ian pregnant but ian loses the baby in a miscarriage
and the other one is a what if scenario where michel meets ian when they are both children and ian is still his family's slave.... michel finds out that ian is a sex slave but doesnt know that ian's owner and abuser is his own father..... then he falls in love with ian and when they are both grown up michel has his first time with ian but hus brother finds out and imprisons ian and it ends there
