I hate that they skipped and changed so much from the novel . I sound like broken record but they completely glossed over ML finding out about MCs death prediction.
Here a small list of the parts I really hate that they changed/skipped:
MC and ML act like an old married couple for the majority of the novel. They nag and fight about petty things but always do what the other asks.
MC tried his best to hide the fact that he's going to die in the novel. He cleaned out his room so that no one would have to organize his things once he is dead (bc he remembers how difficult it was for him to do that for his sister).
He left a note on an old paper where he confessed his feelings to ML disguised as an insult.
He even tried to move out under the disguise of them having already fixed their relationship. This causes ML to beg MC to change his mind. MC makes up excuses like "you don't let me squeeze the toothpaste form the middle" and ML is like "I don't care anymore and we already changed to liquid toothpaste". It's sad and cute.
It's ML who has to purposely go investigating to find out MCs future. He comes back heartbroken, drenched from the rain, and begging him to believe that they can change the unchangeable. He had to go as far as decipher CCTV footage.
When MC asks why he wants him to live so bad. ML says it's bc he considers him family and MC cries out of happiness bc I'm his head he believes that since ML will never resiprocate his feelings, this is as the closest he will ever be able to be.
Quote : "I never wished for a lover or a pair. I didn’t even dare to dream of it. So the position of family was the best possible outcome I could achieve. I was satisfied. I couldn’t wish for anything more."
MC is not only sad that he might miss his sister's memorial but also ML reuniting with his imprinted partner.
The best part is ML's confession. While MC was happy that ML considered him family all along, once those words left ML's mouth he felt a pit in his stomach. He wanted to take it back bc it didn't encapsulate what he felt but he couldn't when he saw MCs reaction. Then on MCs birthday he finally confessed
Quote: “……I like you.”
A soft breath brushed against my ear. Goosebumps rose on my skin. Gripped by astonishment, I didn’t properly hear what Gye Joonmin said.
“What?”
“I like you, Won Yoogyeol. You’re precious to me.” ...
“Yeah, yeah. Family is precious.”
As I nodded, Gye Joonmin firmly denied my words.
“No. It’s different from family.”
Surprised by his words, I grabbed his collar. Last time, he said he would become my family. He clearly said that! How could he suddenly change his words like this? I even felt betrayed.
Unable to overcome my frustration, I shook Gye Joonmin back and forth. He unexpectedly just went along with whatever I did.
“What? You promised! Are you going back on your word now? A man shouldn’t go back on his word!”
“I like you, Won Yoogyeol. I like you as a person.
End quote
And the absolute bestest part of all is when ML admits that he loves MC even over uju-hyung

Gye Joonmin said firmly.
“Uju-hyung is someone I want to make happy. Someone I want to repay as much as I’ve received.”
That’s right. Gye Joonmin had missed Uju-hyung for a long time and wanted to meet him and make him happy. So…….
“You, Won Yoogyeol, are……”
Gye Joonmin gently stroked the back of my hand with his thumb. Even though that was all, my toes curled involuntarily.
“The person I love.”
“Wha, what?”
“The person I always want to be with.”
End quote
The yearning is all skipped .
Honorable mention to all the sad quotes MC had regarding uju-hyung before the reveal.
"Then I paused. Why am I casually assuming a year? Will I still be Gye Joonmin’s temporary Guide then? It’s a fragile relationship that could shatter the moment his imprinted Guide appears. Even if not, we could fall out and break it off by tomorrow."
"“You’ll meet him again.”
I sincerely hoped so. You’ve had enough hardship; it’s time you got to be happy."
"Even if I can’t stay by your side someday… I’ll live cherishing this memory.
By then, I’ll probably be happy seeing you live happily with Uju hyung. Your happiness is my happiness.

Everyone should read the novel it's so much better and there's no rape like they added here . I have the epub ver anyone can email me @ [email protected] to ask for it I don't mind at all. I Js want more people to read the masterpiece

Im pissed Abt it too. Instead of spending chapters and panels on pointless rape that adds nothing to the story. They could've incorporated more lines and scenes that actually add to the the bond MC and ML have. In the manhwa it seems as if the ML lwk started liking him out of nowhere. But in the novel it is pretty clear he likes him even before he realizes it. Those tiny scenes of subtext are completely skipped, overlooked, and replaced by rape scenes and it makes me so mad especially since the novel has so much to offer
Idk what fuck goes on in their mind to think many readers will like rape fetish. Bro keep that to yourself and if the novel is a slow burn love story of ml and mc then keep it that way, dont add drama rape fetish to such a good novel. I feel so bad for the author. Is this similar to how mangakas feel when they see their work get bad anime production

I love the idea of the first season being focused on pilsang and the second season focused on Jooeon.
I'm curious to see how his thoughts changed bc when they kissed and pil was like "dw Ik you don't like me and the kiss meant nothing", Jooeon got really mad that he just assumed his feelings. So I wonder how much of a flashback we're gonna get.
I’m about to levitate into the stratosphere with excitement. I can’t wait to see his pov and his hopefully painful regret. And the chasing arc!!! I’m drooling.
Exactly, this made me even more excited since we already had a deepdive of how Pilsang thinks and feels — it's about time we get to see Jooeon's inner musings this time.

I lwk would find it so funny if MC ends up with the person who was the bottom of the threesome he saw chapter 1. Like he obviously doesn't like either of them so if he were to fall in love at first sight with someone completely different I wouldn't complain.

Is it just me of did the ML have a 180 outta nowhere. I lwk dropped it a while ago cause of how the ML was acting but just for the shits and giggles I read this one to see him being a blushy mess. I thought he might've had a redemption arc so I went back to reread it.
Like around the 20s he tells MC they are just fuck buddies and cuts his confession down but then the next time we see him he is super jealous and possessive and blushing like crazy. But like there is no moment where he real simmers on his feelings and understands why he likes him it's just pure jealousy.
Woori is fine he was a lot better before I dropped the story. But rereading it now he's bad too, no one should just start humping their crush outta nowhere like what?? But I also feel like the author did it to close him off as an option.
I'm actually so invested in Eunsan's backstory with his dad. Atp in time he's willing to use his connections to help Ian but his manner also suggests there is already tension. I know that his father preferred Ian and yada yada. But something must've happened when Ian left after all even he wasn't aware of the trauma he has surrounding the sport.
ML loves him sm I hope he realizes it soon and isn't all up in his head Abt it just being a little game....
Then again, imagine as soon as he realizes his feelings and starts being lovey dovey pilsang runs away thinking it was all a game. Then ML grovels and turns the world upside down slowly becoming more depressed as he reminisces the time they spent together wishing nothing more then just seeing his face.
OR
ML is oblivious of his feelings and when pilsang runs away he thinks he never needed him anyway. But as days pass he begins to realize that he truly love pilsang and as he begins to feel the happiness of being in love the sadness and regret of losing him scars him.
OR
ML realizes his feelings and just before he is about to confess (or vice versa) Pilsangs old boss threatens him once more causing fatal injuries. Scared to hurt ML and ruin his reputation he runs away it that state in which one of two things can happen. First option, ML saw a glimpse of his state and is panicked but can't find him anymore as he wishes to have just confessed his feelings hoping to see him alive. Or second option, he thinks pilsang ran away bc he doesn't want to be with him and he feels betrayed and hurt and by the time he finds out the truth it is too late...
Nonono, imagine this:
Pilsang finally confess and ML in his ego that he finally make pilsang say it he tells him he doesn't and this was just a game but the reaction form pilsang is completely null. No crying, no angry, just pilsang telling him "yeah, I knew this was too good for someone like me" and he picks everything he wins and leave calmly and them the first thing u said
