I agree with you about categorization. But it depends on the society. In some countries certain groups will judge you if you are older and a virgin - as being childish and that people don't want to be with you so that's the reason - which is dumb (and can affect someone's self esteem, and make them think they are not worth enough), but i have to admit, if i was like maybe over 25 and a virgin i wouldn't feel very comfortable about that, not because of society, but because FOR ME that would mean that i didn't have any meaningful and serious romantic relationship, and i have to admit that i love sex, and connection that it gives me with my partner (and i just can't sleep with someone that i don't have stronger feelings for), but again that's me but world wouldn't be over if i was a virgin.
and yet in some countries you will be seen as a whore, and not worth marrying (which is a shame, not everything is about someone's virginity). and often those men that judge you are sleeping around which makes them only more popular which is sad. (a former friend said to my bff that he only wants virgin girlfriends because others are disgusting. and my bff isn't a virgin, but she's his friend so like for her it's ok. needless to say, he's not her friend anymore. and he's far from virgin. to me it looked like he used those girls).
