I’m so frustrated, the story is good but like why didn’t the father just kill the emperor instead of making a deal with him cuz like the wife ends up dead anyways so why make the deal in the first place
It's been awhile since I've read this, but if I remember correctly it was not easy to just kill the emperor. He was well protected with magic and stuff. This is why he was easier Max and working on a plan to kill him later

It actually makes sense on why we couldn’t get the explanation sooner, it’s because haebom went through something traumatizing and he desperately want to forget it and move on from it thus he didn’t Talk about it at all
Or at least that’s my take on the situation which makes total sense but people are now hating way too much
