I didn't like the animated performance
Part of that is because I don't like 3d animation (there are many good animes I don't watch because of the animation like Trigun Stampede)
But I feel it wasn't a good adaptation because it had many silent moments it wasn't "a song" but more like a awkward play with people singing just because, also Sabnock loked like a forceful guy in the manga but in the anime he was a lot kinder and Purson was late in the manga he appeared like a bam.
But the thing that absolutely ruined it was the site were I whatched it (crunchy) they didn't put subtitles just a stupid "singing in Japanese", I know that, I wanted the lyrics#－.－)
I respect your opinion, and I kind of wish they did it in 2D animation as well. But honestly, I think 3D is fine if it’s done better, or if they at least have the budget to do so. There are a lot of mixed-media animations with 2D mixed with 3D, and they absolutely nailed it.

For example, Medalist used 3D for the characters’ performances, and it was absolutely fine. I loved the slow motion and camera angles because it didn’t feel stiff at all. Another example is Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle. They used 3D as well, but blended it with 2D for the fighting scenes. Honestly, instead of getting the recognition and awards they deserved, it went to the one that unfortunately used 3D and AI. I’m still salty about it. (╯°Д°)╯╧╧

Also, yes, with the Purson part, I kind of wish they didn’t put such a long pause because it kind of ruined the momentum, but overall I’m fine with the musical songs. I appreciate their voice actors. Also, fck Crunchyroll, just go to YouTube Muse Asia instead (though you'll have to endure the ads). I’m still kind of mad that it’s not on Netflix though. Like, why am I even paying for it when the anime I want to watch isn’t there?

I actually saw that too. But if you compare it to the final product, I still prefer the model’s performance. The model absolutely nailed the snake dance. The way the shoulders, arms, and hips move feels really sensual.
The model nailed the micro-behavior, but the animation pass lost some of the exaggeration and missed the right angles. I love Jazz, but Jazz’s silhouette in the musical feels flat even though it’s a snake dance.
But then again, this is my first time hearing Jazz sing and I'm loving it.
Heavily agreed i think it's too complicated for the animator to draw even when there's model but yeah his singing make up for it i honestly really like how his voice sounds so sultry yet embarrassed about it
