I think so, but idr exactly when. I remember when they completely wiped away all comments including the homepage. During that time comments were disabled for over like half a year (honestly, good for them, saved the people of this website some sanity. Wouldn't mind if they did that again from the stuff I be hearing ppl say )
I think around this time it didn't really affect me much bc I was doing other stuff, so it was like a minor inconvenience but still kinda sucked
