well i think he’s a recessive alpha which means you can kinda still change to a beta or omega with enough pheromones. And plus he mated with a dominant alpha that was in a heat cycle so that could’ve pushed him to being a omega.
For my comprehending I think dude was affected by the drug as a baby cuz his father was part of the ring and later on we find out it affects dynamics but that is just my guess I prefer to believe that he was born with generals both alpha and omega

Since the doctor was prescribing him some meds to stabilize his Alpha side （￣へ￣) if I had to guess or have a say in what's actually happening....he might've just been a late-bloomer as an omega.
