Nikkidiary's Manga

Very Short stories with boys. I guess it's "shoujo" because the main theme is pretty boys dressing up as girls and guys being attracted to them.
1. Midou Kenshirou practiced applying make up one day on his shy friend, Hiura Mihate and fell in love with his beautiful girl appearance.
2. A man only known as Masaki has the dilemma of being approached every day by his beautiful (boy) coworker.
3. Takada Anshu and Tobari Kotaro are roommates,
With Anshu being smart and Kotaro being relatively lazy.
Kotaro wants Anshu to do his assignment, so Kotaro decides that if Anshu says he's cute, then he would do his homework.
4. A senpai and a kouhai do their best to promote the drama club. As there are only two members, kouhai undertakes the role of the male lead, and senpai takes the role of the female lead. Since that was the case, senpai decided to keep crossdressing everyday until the end of the play.
5. A boy's cousin named Nanase is a crossdresser who loves make up and fashion, and has become relatively popular on social media. Of course, the boy is extremely worried for his cute cousin.

The girl's a funny, lovable, but unfortunate weirdo,
The guy is the typical straight-laced dude who has a soft spot for the girl,
And while bound with a curse and a spirit he falls in love with her. Riene (girl), in spite of liking him a lot and declaring her love for Satsuki (boy), ultimately sees him as a cute friend.
Even if the ending is a tiny bit open,
The curse was dispelled, the guy has come to fully realize his feelings, and the girl has started viewing him as a guy, although falling in love is still yet to be seen.
I don't think it's impossible.
I really love the artstyle.

Short first chapter summary: Unwanted disheveled girl is bought by a man who doesn't seem human, enters another world, and is prompted to be a courtesan, possibly a top entertainer in the district, to have a better life.

The first story, like what was previously mentioned, was about a guy who likes a specific nape. Not the person, but the nape. It's no exaggeration. He professes his love to the nape, he kisses the nape first before the guy, and is only ever devoting himself to the nape. He even agrees that the nape is the main thing and the dude is extra. Still, the guy he went out with appears to be helplessly in love with him and thus tolerates it.
The main story is fun, cute, and more fulfilling than the first, but... I feel like it's so unfair for the delinquent dude. He never got justice served for his unjust expulsion, just because that one seemingly innocent guy wanted to make both of them miserable. I don't understand why he'd go out of his way to pick on the honor student, and go out of his way to ruin another student's life. Seriously, why? If it was going to be like that, I wouldn't wanted them to get a few more punches in, to wreck his pretty face. Even to the end, this was just another major injustice towards him, although it was a turning point for the honor student.
Overall this manga gives me a lot of feelings of dissatisfaction, although thankfully it's a happy ending of sorts for the main couple, I don't feel fulfilled at all. It's like eating but not getting full.

Really, at least get a few punches in towards that guy!
I don't care if he acts smug afterwards! If he gets his way anyway, I at least want to beat him up! What a frustrating guy! He won at life, and for what?! To make others suffer!?! Argh!!!

The first chapter reminded me of "Dekiai Ouji kara Nogareru Houhou Watashi Zettai Kekkon shimasen"
Both girls dislike handsome guys, both girls don't like being judged based on their appearance, and both girls have the tendency to speak their mind. Both appear hypocritical from the get go: not wanting to be judged by appearance but do just that. However, I must say the girl from this manga is better than the other in that she doesn't put others down and only has great dislike for handsome men. Other than that, she's not the type to say, "don't like guys who tan", "cafe, pft, feminine" but go on later to say, "Ah, I wanna fall in love!!!" Standards are standards but putting people down just isn't it. I couldn't read beyond a few chapters for the previous manga, but this one appears to have a better main character than that one, and considering her story, I'm eager to read more rather than feel drained and lose interest so far.

It ends with the rejection of braided girl's confession, and them hanging out as good buddies with romantic feelings blooming in a love square. (Braided girl likes bespectacled boy, popular boy likes braided girl, fashionable girl likes popular boy, and it appears that bespectacled boy is gaining interest in fashionable girl.)
As such, it feels incomplete, but I suppose that's where the story is meant to end, because what happens after that is no longer meant for us to see. The curtain falls, essentially. Maybe these 4 friends move on with their lives, where 1 goes abroad, the other meets someone else out of their love square and falls in love, and one gets their main love requited. It hurts, but I suppose it's meant to hurt: It is a story detailing unrequited love after all, and stayed that way to the end.

Had a bad impression on this girl when she was pushing her "normal" to others when she herself knows how hard it is like how going to cafes is feminine. It just kept getting worse from there: she's utterly picky and said she didn't want to be judged by her looks, but she almost immediately rejected a guy because of his looks, because he looks plain and doesn't dress well. When she learns he's good-looking, she says she doesn't want to date good-looking guys. For all her thoughts of not wanting to be judged solely by her looks, she's pretty much doing the same. I get that it's better to be choosey with a lifetime partner than shallowly making do with whatever, state and think what one wants and all that, but I couldn't appreciate her hypocritical words.
Maybe instead of pointing out what she doesn't want, she should focus on what she's looking for in a guy. Then, she could weigh the pros and cons and give dating a try with a few select people if she truly wants to be in a relationship. Otherwise, never mind fitting in "normal", just marry your job, get a pet or something.

I got hooked because I loved how he turned his life around after the final straw. He doesn't deserve her.
I really hope he ends up with the glasses girl instead, someone who genuinely appreciates him and treats him right. It doesn't matter if that ex of his repents or changes or acts cute or whatever, I hope they never get back together. She's better suited with that fast running guy, although I feel a little bad for him, considering his natural scumminess, I think he's fine.

I told myself I wouldn't cry. I still did. I never was good at stopping my tears. (Spoilers?) In the first story, although it was happier and more lighthearted, the main characters were pulled apart for 6-7 years because Tomohisa had to study hard and Hideo had to work.
When they reunited afterwards, this happens and a bunch of troubles ensue, and then boom! Have to go to another country and stay there. So Hideo goes with Tomohisa and... what's this? In the epilogue, we see an old Hideo visiting Tomohisa's grave... and it's been 20 years since! 20 years! Not only that, a flashback shows that they weren't even too old when he departed from this world! They were in the late 30s at least! Does that mean he died only a few years after the ending?! It's unfair! It's like fate is trying to pull them apart, but they fought for their love and went against it. Probably enraged by such true and perseverant love, fate decided to take Tomohisa away for good. The last picture of them happily holding hands makes me cry even more. I'm crying as I type this. Will they ever be reunited again? Is there an afterlife in this universe? I will dream it so. Since it's fiction, and it is the end, I will dream it so. They will find each other, like they did before, and this time, this time they will be together forever.

I just feel bad for the MC, because it turns out (spoilers) that the brother once loved and cherished her, but forgot that and percieved his feelings for her as "hate" because someone manipulated it so that she is the "villainess" and he is the "main character". In other words, all that's been left in his memories is bitterness towards his sister, and his heart utterly hardened towards her, the ultimate enemy barring against his happiness.

I already did guess that the knight and the princess might end up having feelings for each other because they depend on each other and stuff from the very beginning, but honestly I just want the main character to break that "compulsive force" and end up in a happily ever after, where hopefully her brother's memories unlock and he remembers, and they properly communicate this time with no detours and ill feelings, just seeing things directly. Also, little brother is precious. I hope he will remain safe from that mysterious power.
