I think in the first chapters he wasn’t his true self. The possession thing was more advanced, and while Lukas might have had full control of ML's body, ML was broken in spirit. He wasn’t in his right mind in that sense. Lukas made him kill all the important people in his life to make him unstable. So that's what ML was in the first chapters: unstable AND with lots of gaps in his memory (everytime he got posessed). The soft boy is his actual personality
That's because it's exactly who he is, but the trauma and whole personality switch completely destroyed him and made him unable to show any feelings.

No, I remember that happening a lot. I used to read without logging in for years (don't ask), and when I opened reading mode, the link was no longer mangago, but some random website. If i left the tab for long enough for it to reload it would load the site to the link instead of whatever I was reading.
