was re-reading this bc i forgot the plot and I'm at ch 17...honestly, it's so fucking frustrating to read. i feel so bad for the original owner of the body. dude was bullied constantly, at school, outside school, at home. 1) started w an interesting dynamic between main couple (complex feelings, history, & Woojin *sorta* not recognizing Taemin) but as soon as Woojin kissed Taemin he just fell in love….like what happened to the tension/confliction….
2) sidelined main story for romance. Started w focus on mystery & tension, but after the romance started, the intrigue got benched
3) tonal whiplash. One minute triggered by meeting sorta rapist, the next a joke; one minute beating up bullies who drove a kid to suicide, the next the bully has a crush on u (?)
4) WOOJIN SUCKS??? & not even in the typical seme “stoic smartass” way (tho he’s that too lol), he’s acc heartless ._. he watched siwon getting gang r’d & called it “BORING” hell, I have more examples (& forgot even more lol), but that alone says it all. Fkin insane
5) the ending? Taemin just lives on as Siwon ig, & the brother’s the only one “punished” whole first quarter dedicated to fighting bullies just to let all rapists off scot free lol sure. & I get Siwon can’t magically come back to life (? tho he magically body swapped…), but god, knowing he can’t even be mourned cuz no one knows he’s dead is devastating. Siwon was so tortured and alone, & not even the story/author cares lol

So.....sigh, where do I begin. Let’s start with the end shall we?
I hate that ending TT~TT I hate how the abuse victims in yaoi are never allowed to find proper happiness with someone who’s good for them. They always have to fall for their abuser. I’ve only seen this not happen ONCE in my entire experience on platform.

Also, a part of me does pity Hikaru bcuz he is also a victim, but the rest of me wants him to respectfully build a bridge and jump off of it >//w//< did you see the face he was giving Hanabura at the end of the story?? He hasn’t changed one fucking bit. So it’s honestly sad and sick to see a brat like him get what he wants instead of just getting proper help.At the time of reading I was so bitter when Hanabura was talking to that cute girl, but now I honestly hopes he gets w her and lives happily ever after TT_TT he deserves the world. And Suzuki is best girl even tho she’s the only good girl in that story <3

Kinda lengthy for the story it’s tryna tell imo, but I think the premise is damn funny. Just two guys who’ve let the horrible circumstances they’ve been put in corrupt them, and how their twisted attraction to one another subsequently fucked them over (or, at least Han…). And there!! Within those parentheses lies my main issue w the story. Why did Sangwoo just get everything he wanted?
They were both shitty ppl getting taken advantage of & trying to squeeze as much power as they could out of those circumstances. So why was Han the only one who saw consequences? I mean, fuck “not being fair”—it literally just doesn’t make sense lol. Bro literally sells himself to execs for a living, & he doesn’t have ANY contingency plans to prevent *basic ass* blackmail..? How has no one tried this before then lol
Like it’s genuinely just unrealistic that Sangwoo was able to one up Han like that, which is such a sad note to leave the story off on, but even then, I don’t hate it or anything. I honestly respect it not taking an unnatural romantic turn like most bl, & at the very fucking least, it was funny!

I think this story would’ve been better if it hadn’t abandoned its focus on Mao halfway thru. Weird seeing a manga literally named after her, & so fundamentally driven by her, end w her as just an extra in a crowd.
Ntm, I would’ve preferred to see Mao end up w Nina, & Ryouma w the kid he was in a band w (lol). Just felt like Nina treated Mao more like an equal, & Ryouma just felt destined for homosexuality LMAO (& for the record (on the Ryouma bit)—I’m playing. Just, if Ryouma & Mao couldn’t b together, I saw potential in Mao x Nina)

I’m sorry I literally can’t take this story seriously Tsubaki & Masahiro r rlly cute together (& Masahiro looked rlly dashing after that time jump <3), but why is this mangaka so determined to sexually traumatize the lil brother like he’s literally a preteen?? Fucking leave him alone????? Like I don’t get it it’s so weird.
First he was written to be a serial rapist (at, like what? 10 years old? lol) & a ton of adults in his life knew about it but did fuck all to stop/help him, then Masahiro (HIS OLDER BROTHER???) & Tsubaki like??? Do that weird, freaky shit in front of him??? &…..like, why? Like what did we gain from this lol
