Ukes sudden devotion to the seme does not feel earned at all. Up until the sacrifice the uke is annoyed with him and doesn’t want a relationship, but he watches seme kill an innocent kid he had a personal connection with and suddenly he’s saying he can’t stand to lose him too? What!? Maybe if they had actually bonded before that the morbid connection would feel more believable but all that happened before this was two noncon sex scenes. There is no good reason for the uke to be suddenly acting like that and even apologizing for being harsh?? Is the author crazy?
The hounds of sysyphus author did something similar in a much better why imo. That seme is also a being who doesn’t have normal human emotions and kills innocent ppl but his actions actually damage how the uke views him once he find out and ukes continued association with him makes a lot more sense in the context of that story. This author just did not hit the mark.
I skimed the first like 40 chapters but from what I gathered seme is a playboy and uke of course has trauma so he’s a virgin and seme fucks the guy uke likes in front of him and based on some comments the seme later rapes uke a lot but the uke falls in love with him anyway and seme doesnt have any character development or suffer any consequences for any of this? Does the ukes at least get back at him and fuck someone else or something (while the seme cares about him not while he’s a fuckboy) like come ooon why does this have strong uke tag if seme fucks his bitch right in front of him and gets everything he wants?
Hey I don’t know if you actually WANT to know how what you said differs from the manga but, just incase, here is how the plot differed from what you said.
1. Uke is NOT a virgin going into it and really doesn’t have any trama but got into a fight and hurt his knee before the manhwa took place.
2. The uke has only started to develop feelings veerrrrryyyy recently and we are on chapter 130. He didn’t just like him from the jump, a lot has happened.
3. The seme is receiving some character development but we still have quite a ways to go in the manhwa I’m pretty sure.
4.no the ukes don’t get back at him because the top is physically overpowering and the main uke just wants to leave him alone so he lives.(not in a weak omega way but in a “I just want to live a normal life” way)
5. Also the guy the uke likes cut a deal with the seme and that’s why they boned. Also that guy ends up being not a great guy.
6. The only reason why the bottom puts up with it is because ilay is batshit crazy and is op. The bottom just don't want to die and wants to leave.
Want to clarify I’m not defending the top, bro is trash. BUT he is showing some improvement as of late.
Hey! I do appreciate the clarifications.
In chapter 31 the uke says he had a (minor now that I’m rereading it) traumatic experience with a schoolmate and that’s why he never tried bottoming (ass virgin, which I count)
And i know about the deal they made, but seme did that on purpose bc he was toying with both of them for his own amusement. (And he didn’t even stick to their deal)
Along with the other things I mentioned. The seme just gives me major icks and 130 chaps and only minor development isnt worth it. Him not getting any consequences for being a pos is a double nope so this is going to be a skip for me.
I make comments like this so I can reference them in the future and so hopefully people who also don’t like these things may find it and know what they are getting into (or decide it’s perfect for them!) so again thank you for clarifying
Finalllly. This uke was punished more than most toxic semes who commit actual crimes
I understand why his actions were hurtful but when we read the earlier chapters from semes pov he also made his own assumptions and wasn’t a nice person, and BOTH of them suck at communicating. But uke has a shitty job, health, social life AND hes spent the last four years in limbo pining for him so imo he has long made up for his wrongs by now
I also think Dohu did nothing wrong, or at least Dohu never did anything with malice or bad intention. This situation isn't as clear cut as things that are morally wrong such as cheating or abuse, and whether it would hurt anyone would highly depend on the person. For example, if it's me, I would be flattered if someone thinks I'm interesting enough to be used as a muse for their stories. Unfortunately for Dohu, Juheon happened to be the most sensitive person when it comes to being used. To be fair, Juheon has the right to be upset regardless of Dohu's intention, but that does not mean Dohu deserved to be punished, especially not until this extent. If Dohu truly never cares for Juheon, he would have moved on instead of his life getting ruined. I don't think Juheon realized what he has done to Dohu when he chose to leave.
The baby thing worked for me with the other couple but I think there is just too much emphasis on their differences (age, financials, romantic history) that it’s giving me the ick with this one + like others said the art change isnt helping. It’s a shame because the puppy was so iconic!! By comparison this uke feels flat.
I’ll give author another chance in the future because their couples are very sweet with each other, but please give us some flavor ~

Ukes nonchalant attitude is making me nervous. Does the ML suffer for what he did or do they just shrug and move on from it
BROO… they literally explained he has lost his emotions
Seeing that Ha-on reincarnate over and over again and the ML can only watch him from afar and die.repeatedly, I think he suffered enough. He's not familiar with emotions and think lowly of humans so he never really realizes he loves Ha-on until he's gone
I understand that lol. It’s BECAUSE he lost his emotions that I was hesitant to continue bc he doesn’t care about what the seme did in the past….therefore moving on from it without much consequence.
I misread your og comment lol , I thought you were confused about why uke seemed nonchalant in the first place.
But yeah you’re right I need seme to suffer a lot more
