When I first read this I was also really upset about the mpreg bait but on my Nth reread, I have reached an understanding that they'd be terrible parents lol. All they really care about is each other, like toxic level yearning (which i like), but they wouldn't be able to tolerate a child in between them. Kamiya would be too jealous and so would Hitomi, they'd be so insanely jealous if the attention of their partner was drawn away. I mean Hitomi could deal with it after some pouting but Kamiya would lowkey be crazy and lock him up fr, leaving the kid to be raised by their family instead.
The only reason Kamiya was even saying the breadding stuff was cause of some beast instinct, he even clarified he didn't really even want a kid. Hitomi was willing to baby trap him but he got jealous of even his sister who like wasn't even relevant or present for more that 2 panels, he'd be so jealous if Kamiya would show even a hint of his attention being drawn away by another that isn't him, he's like super insecure. I think he'd bottle it up and suppress it. However, I do think he'd explode one day and like go crazy on Kamiya (on the bed ofc) for a while, and Kamiya wouldn't refuse, unintentionally neglecting their kid lol.
I do wish we could see a wedding at least. I want the honeymoon sex!

One thing I disliked is how MC basically went from "I can't go through the backdoor, I want to be promoted through my own efforts", working his ass off and then its all just thrown away, his career and aspirations down the drain just so he can be a housewife??? I mean, there's nothing wrong with being a housewife, especially to a rich handsome guy who really really loves you but it felt slightly out of character when its this whole thing that he's a super hardworking guy, who prides himself in his work and nobody in that megacorporation properly investigated, where's HR??? Its really only a plot device for the ML to swoop in and save the day.

I lowkey can forgive Eckles, bro is 17, had his whole family and country destroyed, got enslaved, suffered so much torture, and then he falls in love with one of "enemy". He loves her enough to abandon everything: revenge, his people, his freedom, and knows he can never be loved back, even before all his mistakes, she was only using him. I get Penelope was dealing with her own problems, being hounded by death at every turn, she was only doing whatever she could to survive. But objectively, as her slave, the power dynamic of it all, could really only end one way....it was never gonna be love. So he is now having his fears and anxiety amplified by a mirror and bewitched to commit these wrongs. If I recall, he had all the intentions to showcase his swordsmanship and become a commoner by his own efforts but it was only after Yvonne brainwashed him that he started going askew in his actions. Was there ever a moment he was never enslaved? First his body, now his mind. I suppose his ending in the book was the only way for him to be truly free of any shackles
