This might just make the best example of what narcissistic/anti social behavior is like. If I'm not mistaken, classic narcissists or abusive behaviors (can't put my finger on the exact term) would make the other person isolated from everyone else and make them heavily depend on them. Like conditioning the other person to codependency, or something. So far, so good on portraying it!

it's a design choice trope & shortcut. like how silver/white hair is paired with distant, chilly, and otherworldly personalities, red hair is chosen for fiery, impulsive characters. it's also a way to make characters slightly more distinct, which can be helpful for readers with facial blindness or artists with "same face syndrome." but if it's made into live action, those choices almost always get tossed. so the reality equivalent isn't red, it's just black or dark brown. at most, they might have some bleaching that's made their hair a little lighter/coppery. so don't take it as an actual slight on redheads please!
