cesare is def overprotective, but unlike the usual case of this in other stories i genuinely think it makes sense to the plot. Do NOT get me wrong, i need eileen more aware and want to see her grow beyond the scared lamb trope. However, I lowk understand him.
Like he saw her beheaded body with her limbs taken, heard ab the horrific things done to her corpse, and had to kill her several times to reverse time permanently for her to stay. I’d be fucked up too .
In similar stories the overprotectiveness feels unnecessary and mean. But regardless he does need to heal himself too, and help her grow stronger instead of whatever tf he’s doin.

Yes I agree I like how in this story it’s like a trauma response to him or I guess in other stories it is too. But in this story they write the trauma really well. Like you really understand why he’s controlling and overprotective

Can’t remember how he did this, but he made a deal with a god to go back in time to save her but he also had to show resolve by killing her in 7 different timelines.
In this timeline, ML is given a chance to save her but he is on borrowed time. He knows what his brother is capable of, he knows his brother’s fiancé is willing to kill the FL if it means she can have the ML. So he’s setting things up for her to be protected and be safe when he eventually passes.
