Love Paula SO much, but the one thing about this story is that they never make her strong against her sister. I finished the novel multiple times and am still obsessed, but Alicias end was way too easy. While I agree that she got a fate she considers worse than death, I think she never truly repented. Paula never let go of her. And that’s completely understandable considering her trauma, but god I wish she had been able to stand up against Alicia and stop sympathizing with her. Like she literally tries to kill you girl. Stop being an empath
In all fairness Alicias actions have consequences, but it wasn’t as satisfying as we never get to see her having to live like a peasant while knowing her sister got a new life.
I get what you're saying but this is also her sister since birth. I love when the mc stands her ground but I can understand why Paula has given Alicia so many chances since they both came from the same home and blood. This is personal experience speaking but when I had an aggressive family member I hoped for them to stop but also didn't wish anything bad upon them since society has reinforced the idea that family is above all, even when they're not good people. Also, Alicia in the past got constantly praised and treated like she could do no wrong, so Paula probably internalized that over time.

I didn’t go into it very well, but I do understand how her traumatic childhood and the relationship she had with her siblings affects her compassion. Paula still loves them sm but holds so much guilt towards them too, so she can’t give up on her one living sibling now too. I admit I was rash. Having never experienced that personally I was just looking for the catharsis of our fl standing up for herself more firmly, but she does stand up for herself in her own ways.
Was not a fan of this at first but I have to admit it grew on me and the ending was sweet. Have to keep it 100% I skipped from ch 30ish to to 70 then 70 to 109 lol. Their development was pissing me off and making my hangover worse LOL. The skipping helped me want to read the full thing properly tbh.
I think the fl was definitely ‘annoying’ at first but for good reason? She was fking traumatized horribly and killed. She was nuanced and realistic in how her trauma impacted her, and how she handled returning to her past. I sympathize with the characters a lot more now. And I like how the ml changed. Also love that he’s also a good dad too LOL I hate when the story makes the ml not care about their own damn kids just bc they’re not the fl. Pleasantly surprised. I think the rating is accurate too.

seems like og artists cited health issues and financial problems for finishing this :( awe man I loved the art the most, but god damn I can’t blame them for these publishing companies treating them terribly!! I wish we could support the artists and authors directly, and not greedy business people who only care about making money.
AGAIN for maybe the 5th time and I still love it :,) their endings made me cry every reread god I love them, I wish there were 20 more chapters after the wedding!
this is a super cute story that really builds!! definitely deserves a higher rating, it was super cute and interesting too at least a 9.2

Rereading this from the beginning and seeing the promo art made me gasp! I genuinely can’t think of another time I didnt like the promo art as much as what the art ended up being. This story is so beautifully drawn and it fits the serious tone so much better, it was so shocking to see what it couldve been
Crazy part is we see the artist just keep getting better and better.
Others changed for the worse, to a point i thought the artist changed but it's because, the artist git busier with other series or the series is almost done so you can see they are cutting corners
I still like this story a lot and that it’s still going! I also stopped reading around Shin-e’s backstory bc of how long it was taking but knowing the conditions of webtoon artists/authors generally being treated poorly, I don’t mind the hiatuses if the author can remain healthy. I’m grateful the art is still the same, and the story is still intriguing. There has been a lot of backstories and we havent seen our fl or ml for a fat min but i like this buildup with kyouske’s breaking point too. His mom is terrifying and trying to break out from her horrific teachings can’t be easy. Now we’re seeing how crazy she really is.
I understand the criticism but I just wish the chapters were longer lol. I just hope I’m still alive when this story ends and that the ending is satisfying lol. I’ve just had so many of my fav stories be abandoned completely from poor health so I hope it doesn’t happen with this one!
Finally found this again and it’s been dropped does anyone know spoilers? Like why the MLs mom hates him so much and what happens with that? Or when Ilya falls for him and their ending? I have so many questions :,(((
