I only remember this part, there's this family that moved to this island where the locals discriminate against outsiders. The family isn't treated well there, the kid is being bullied and the chief is tryna take all their money and stuff. In the school that the kid goes to, there's a female teacher who is also an outsider, she's the only person who treats the kid well there. The teacher isn't treated well too, the chief and his friends keep harassing her. There's also this big guy who works for the chief, he genuinely likes the teacher so he helps her when she was being chased by the locals. The chief told him that he has to work to help his father or whatever and afterwards he can go back but the chief actually killed his father so he was just being trapped there by the chief for years. In the end I think the chief died? And everyone got out of the island including the big guy and the crimes of the locals were exposed
