Im so sad, this used to be my comfort story, even with the angst was so good. But right now I think the plot is spiraling in a terrible way, the rape, the drama, their infinite fight..
Nah. People are like, intentionally misreading the situation. Sure, it was uncomfortable, but it was 100% consensual. Malidin
i wouldn't say it's 100% consensual--dohu wanted to stop and vocalized that, and juheon gave him an ultimatum to continue or walk away/deal's off. since there was a threat/pressure involved, this would be dubious consent at best. can argue juheon wasn't in his right mind bc of the pain, which they seem to try to establish retroactively in the following chapter, but i personally don't think that's a strong enough justification, since he was fully lucid and eloquent during the threat.

Dohu made his choice though, thus giving consent. He decided it was more important to him to continue and keep the deal than walk away. An ultimatum is not a good enough reason to call something rape, unless it's a threat of bodily harm to yourself or someone else. If you genuinely don't want to have sex with someone, then you should fight tooth and nail to prevent it. He could have stopped it at anytime if that's what he wanted -- he wasn't being held against his will.

I don’t fully agree, it is dubious at best. This was not consent. Any kind of pressure means that something is forced, he’s basically telling him ‘hey, either bend for me or forget our deal that had nothing to do with sex’ he forced him. Duho wanted it in the moment so he agreed RELUCTANTLY but in if in any way he showed that he didn’t want it afterwords, it would be considered rape. Hence the dubious label. Don’t look at the two people involved, look at the situation itself. It was a shit move and even juheon admitted to it afterwards.
"If you genuinely don't want to have sex with someone, then you should fight tooth and nail to prevent it." Oh dear, unfortunately that's not how many of rape victims react. Fear and shock might froze you, the confusion of what's happening due to the rapist being someone you know and possibly even love. Just a few cases of rape, at least on my country, are committed by strangers in a alley. A lot of the rape cases are committed by the partners victims, through cohesion, when they are sleeping of drunk, by manipulation. In my country, what he did would be considered rape.
