The MC kinda pisses me off, like I know it’s more realistic to be scared and work up courage. But there’s a time and a place and if u have no strength you would think you would be more careful and listen to your summons. Erm ?
He doesn’t grow as a character throughout the novel btw. Mooseinabush
He actually did change, although just a little. He listens to his summons now and isn't afraid of climbing the tower, but he does do it out of his own phase and will.

The story is racist to quite literally every country except the Caucasian ones lmao. But even then, they make those countries look pathetic and helpless and South Korea as the savior of all countries while assassinating world leaders because … reasons. Lmao

Ah, that again. I’ve seen that in quite a few of these with this genre.

I love love love the summons though. Don’t get me wrong. Some of them are amazing and I love how some of them actually grow? The MC is so unlikable and undeserving. The plot and way of narrating and writing is so cringe worthy though. It’s unfortunate.

I was on the fence about if I wanted to read this or not. Now I’m curious about just how unlikable this guy is.

i just finished reading this, honestly his only flaw is being a pussy, he a family guy who works to provide for his family, so far he hasnt shown any weird behaviour to women
he honstly just the opposite of the stereotypical aura farming mc, tho he does have some aurafarming moments
id say give it a chance and after 15 chapters if you dont like his character then you might wanna drop

I just don’t like the inconsistency so far in his character either be scared and stay safe so your summons don’t have to worry or be brave and try to grow but it feels like every other chapter is jus him having a false confidence and ego and then getting scared of a big guy

This. And the fact that the summons all kind of how to grovel beneath him. It doesn’t even feel like camaraderie at times. You feel it more between the summons. Like dude, grow up for someone who constantly mentions about needing to be “manly” and “acting like a man”.

In my opinion, that’s pretty realistic. People can be pretty contradictory, and I can understand his confidence boost in the tower since it shows multiple times that he literally feels stronger in there with the stat increase and most of his fears come from social interactions and trying new things/change. All the monsters he’s shown to be afraid of are pretty understandable too. I wouldn’t want to go near those things. He just wants to try out his abilities a little and test his limits, not suddenly clear a whole floor by himself and risk his life. Though I’m not a fan of the “stallion” gimmick or the “beta male” talk, everything else is very understandable for me and even relatable. It’s not often that you see a character that’s this realistic.

I mean I guess you could say nationalism and racism and backhanded homophobic comments are pretty realistic for someone with no life experience. I’m going off of what I read after finishing the novel. Things are cuter in the manhwa and more digestible. The novel was actually so eye-rolling.

That isn’t relevant to my reply. We were talking about ‘inconsistencies’ in his personality, not nationalism, racism, and homophobia. Did you even read past the first sentence of my reply before replying yourself? Genuine question since your reply is honestly perplexing.
And maybe go to the comment sections for the novel if you want to complain about it so much.

It’s a thread. You’ve been here since the start of the thread. At least my points have stayed consistent. You’re more than welcome to express your opinions just like I am. You could also choose to ignore this thread and me if you dislike my opinions. My opinions are very straightforward, so if it’s perplexing either go re-read them or just ignore them. They’re just opinions.

So he stays like this for the rest of the manhwa?
Yes. Thought to be fair, the story has a lot of plot holes and illogical aspects to it.
Meanwhile the author is just flat out racist.
Wait what do you mean by racist I haven't started this yet

They're racist to the Japanese
That! I agree.
