Idk the ml could be so much worse like I'd gladly choose a guy whose a little manipulative over a whole ass groomer (who honestly seems equally as manipulative or even more when u look from the perspective that HE IS A GROOMER). Like dont get me wrong the ml isnt great rn he is an asshole but at the end of the day a character who is just an asshole can go through character development but a whole ass felon can never un-groom a child.
