I'm usually not one to get pissed off at red / black flags cause we tend to know which stories go this way pretty early on. I haven't read Code Anastasia or Roses and Champagne because I knew the tops were crazy abusive rapists. However, this was never their dynamic in this story and the change feels so damn cheap. Why write a meaningful story full of chemistry when you can resort to this basic ass trope ? It's so overly done but people seem to eat it up. It just doesn't work here. I used to be thrilled seeing a notification from the story but I know now that the author will mess up what could have been an absolute classic. Truly a waste.

People tend to forget he couldnt understand or feel emotions, he learned to act them by studying other people as a kid, he was manipulative, possessive,its just that he wasnt abusive, he has always been somewhat morally grey, he cannot be classified under the categories Red Green or black flags, he is a mix of all depending on the situation.yall also forget he was obsessed with Yujin ever since he had seen that video of his so many years ago, he's been trying to find him since ages, and since he succeeded in that and assumed it would be permanent but got stood up, he lost it. He has always been obsessive, possessive and a bit crazy.
Yall cannot be mad at a morally grey character for being morally grey be fucking for real right now. He is a fucked up caharcter from the very start.
Few instances where it was proven:
He used to get punished by his family but wouldnt react, his family was worried, so he learned how to react to pain by watching actors on a TV, and then acted it out infront of his parents, which suggest he has sociopathic behaviour somewhere deep down.
He also "jokingly" pointed a gun at yujin maybe in the beginning somewhere.
He got jealous and told Yujin "to take it like a good little pet".
Not to mention he was beyond obsessed with him ever since he saw the music video Yujin had uploaded, he literally searched/stalked him everywhere to find the "guy", He went through Yujin's files and used Yujin's situation to make a deal that he could take advantage of, aka making Yujin write the song for him that helps him sleep and have sex with him.
He literally put a tracker on yujin's phone, clothes and things so he could track him incase Yujin runs away.
He also spent so many fucking dollars just to find Yujin.
He also pretended to cry infront of that bartender to get information on where Yujin resides, once she told him out of sympathy, his eyes turned piercings cold, indicating he was manipulating her and was successful at it. He also threatened her that if she helped Yujin again, He would make sure her son wouldnt be safe aint no motherfucking green flag does all this.
Not to mention he has severe insomnia, unless when he listens to songs made by Yujin or if he is with yujin himself, which shows the obsessive, possessive nature runs deeper than just physical being, its emotional and mental too.
In this situation, he practically cannot breath without Yujin being near him.
While I get what you mean, he WAS morally grey, now morality has straight up left the chat. It's him being outwardly abusive in ways that make a serious amount of impact to Yujin's character, how we perceive Hunter, and the course of the story. Previous acts were to some capacity easy to not let the story go to shit but now it's turning into just another red flag story. We aren't mad about Hunter going from a black to a red flag. We are mad about the direction this very promising story is taking.

In the "relationship " Aaron controlled himself to a degree but once he was free of that he reverted to his true nature.
I 100% get that authors often have health issues and hiatuses don't really bother me but damn, so many of them do make sure we'll be back after the hiatus with those crazy cliffhangers.

Damn it's WWIII in here. Let's not act like we only like green flags. While I cannot condone the use of rape as something sexy, I can get behind a morally grey or even black charater if the writing follows through. I really liked MC's struggle with internalized homophobia and his rejection of Jaehyuk's affection because he fells like he owes his mother. Their past was super interesting and could have been explored further but everything fell flat in this last chapter. As for Dochan, he's not boring because he's a green flag (there are so many delicious green flags), he's boring because he doesn't have a personality and I'm not sold on his chemistry with MC. Why invest so much of your story on the asshole's backstory and motivations but not on the endgame ML ? We're 30 chapters in and the only thing we know of Dochan is that he's poor...
