I always noticed this about this series specifically, but damn are these chapters decently lengthened. Their relationship would kinda deepened again, i think we would have the end soon kinda... But like when I read novel the conflict is literally nothingburger... It's just author dragging the revelation. And only reveal pete literally in the end of main story.
