It was horrible. I couldn’t read past the 11th chapter. I read some twisted stuff. But this was only romanticized abuse. She’s obviously aware of the feelings of her childhood friend but only uses it as leverage to do what she wants. Even emotionally pressures him. I don’t like to mix fiction with reality but just no. Reading it made me uncomfortable. Her first (I believe she is continuing seeing the twins) sexual act with the younger twin was definitely rape. And I hated the fact it was normalized that much. Not trying to rain on peoples parade and starting a debate but if there are other people like me who hates overly normalized and romanticized toxic relationships (which is not even on a psychological level, only for the smut) this comment might be a warning.

I guess some people are really defensive about their likes. It’s kinda understandable. But still you managed to read way more than me. I was like it’s not that bad when I started but it kept going worse and worse. Couldn’t stomach the rest tbh.

You could try of course but you wouldn’t lose anything by not reading it. The only thing that piqued my interest was the art style but it definitely is not worth it. Tbh it was a normal harem like one guy and multiple girls there would be way more negative comments than it is.
It's just ever since I learned about Kurose-kun's past. I don't get the same joy anymore. It feels like he's channeling his negative feelings from his childhood to Shirotani. It feels like the love of his more of an obsession towards his mysophobia. I know he said even if he wasn't like that he would still love him but that feels a little forced and he isn't completely honest with Shirotani. It's looks kind of abusive to me because he only got close to him because of the mysophobia tried to act like it's counselor ended up being his bed partner in some dominant/submissive type of relationship so it looks like kinda manipulative for me and the love I had for this manga lessened. There is just one character growth and we don't much see anything on Kurose's part yet. (Don't get me wrong I still like this manga but not in the same way I used to.) I wish they had stood off from any sexual advances for each other like saezuru tori wa habatakanai (well they didn't too exactly stayed clear off sexuality but hush...). I would like them too go to those later stages after they had some deeper emotional collection. Still beautiful art and plot but kinda pushes me out of my comfort zone.
YES! I wasn't the only one thinking about this. Another side or possibility, inducing something positive for Kurose, that he might be unconsciously doing it to Shirotani but once he gets over his mysophobia, Kurose would suddenly realize that Shirotani was just a substitute, me believing that Kurose has some psychological problem himself. Psychologists and psychiatrists can be sick and damaged, too.
I'm actually glad that the story is leaning towards Kurose this time to answer my queries. I am not satisfied with him simply clearing it up verbally (to be seen in the next chapter). The following chapter/s will be about Kurose.

And here we go again with the abusive and manipulative argument. Kurose approached shirotani for his illnesses in the beginning now things are different is not that hard to understand. He even said sorry for fell in love with you to shirotani and that he loves him lot of times. Stop blaming the poor kurose for his past. They both are trying to move on from their past not only kurose. Shirotani sometimes seems to reflect his past on kurose too but nobody say anything it's like idk how to say...like he see kurose as the father figure he lost because of the bitch when he was a kid.

did you really read what I wrote? I wasn't comparing the two series I was just saying I'd like it more if they had connected emotionally before they got sexually active with each other before. Talking and understanding only afterwards getting each other off. Even if Shirotani is suspecting and knowing stuff they didn't exactly talked about the subject. The trauma behind his mysophobia is heavily connected with seaxuality too. This could be destructive to their relationship and I'm not saying Kurose is bad too. He's just has problems had them quite a while too. But he pushes down those feelings.
Well, Saezuru and Ten Count are not entirely different. Both are about conquering child trauma, so it's not a surprise to get them compared. Plus, it cannot be helped to blame on pasts. They were made to build the character's personality thus they bear meaning to who they are in the present and the decisions they've done and about to do. Since this series is a bit psychological and even features psychological trauma, it's natural that it may not only be Shirotani who needed an intervention. Both he and Kurose are undergoing some sort of therapy. I don't know why no one ever thought that Shirotani has seen his father in Kurose because at some point he did, never explicitly saying he did but that's implied, that's how traumatized people go through this. And I think it's the same for Kurose. I've considered Kurose pushing Shirotani as non-consensual sex (sp. the one in the clinic) but for such cases where there is aversion to sex because of trauma, it's exempted.
The series takes on Shirotani's POV so I can never be 100% sure about Kurose's words, thus I'm still skeptical on him saying, more than once, that he loves Shirotani since I haven't seen chapters that Kurose has recognized that he has some psychological problems too plus him trying to fix it, the way Shirotani did, when Kurose's past clearly says that he's also not quite mentally pristine. Anyway, the ch 39 and onward is giving Kurose's turn vibes so let's see.
Also, there is nothing wrong on being critical on a series, no matter how good it is. Besides, I believe authors want their viewers to read beyond the text and images, so no harm done being critical on characters.
You know I never said I hated this manga. I actually like it. Surprise, surprise you can actually like something and criticize it at the same time. If you wanna talk about how much growth Shirotani showed how much of a complex character Kurose is, or how horrible was that bitch (I'm pretty sure everybody knows who I'm talking about.) I'm always free. I was just saying I could have liked it better if they got their emotional connection by talking first. But if you only look for OMG THEY'RE HOT WHEN ARE THEY GONNA F*CK, IT'S SO SMEXY or something there are plenty comments are there like that too.
Please being critical does not mean hating the series. I love Ten Count. I don't even understand why this doesn't have a psychological tag because it is. Not all people just talk shit because they think the story's shit. They talk about it because it arouses people to think and the story in particular IS made for people to think.

I understand your point on hoping they got to their feelings deeper first before jumping to anything sexual but I think the slow pace before getting to that chapter when they were in clinic was enough to build the tension. Knowing Kurose's past gave an idea about his personality, he has some self-control issues and he's been trying to exercise that with Shirotani since he didn't want to make the same mistake. Plus, Shirotani made a synergistic response that he wants it, too, well his body did but his logic was too used being emotionally protected by his mysophobia. Their progress was actually inevitable.
I absolutely love this manga. Everything about it pulls me in. I check constantly to see when ot updates mext. If you dont like it, dont read it. Ive only talked to a few people who didnt like it. Im so glad this manga was made, bc it seriously makes my day reading this. And if people didnt like it, it wouldn't be number 2 in popularity on this site... just saying.
