i lowkirkuinely didn't understand chapter 37. how did cheol end up in the hospital? was it after his dad beat him up again or did they go back to the present and something happened or wat?

Cheol ended up in the hospital because of his father throwing that cup at him. I'm not sure who took him there probably minyoung and his uncle but basically it's just the father being ur typical abuser and not letting him study abroad knowing that he's more capable which ended up in a fight minyoung finally catching up on his deep regret/ failure by not being able to protect him. Which is why he lost composure like that
The time thing I think it's because he's been sleeping for so long now in present time considering chapter 20 is where the flashback begins once he fell asleep so I'm pretty sure we are in the past still we just get to see the future them for that short second
So if I missed anything sorry and hopefully this clears up any confusion
