This story is awesome, I wouldn't discourage anyone from reading it. However, I've got my own grievances about this ML.
This guy pisses me off. From the get go FL had absolutely no damn reason to assist this man. NONE. She asked, "Why me?" And he said, "I want to protect my sister."
WTF THAT GOTTA DO WITH HER??
And she was like, "Yeah this suffices, let's get married." Not that she was in a predicament to refuse regardless.
He told her he would protect her (I think. I don't remember exactly what convo it was) and would get back to her about his feelings. But like so far, what has he done to protect her? He helped one time, bro. A time she was caught off guard, she was not entirely incapable of fighting (even if the odds weren't high). She doesn't NEED this man, which is good, but the way the story is portraying this relationship is mad.
To sum it up, it's really this:
She felt pity for the guy, realized her own circumstances weren't great because he wouldn't hop off her dick, and got with him. But now, he puts her life, freedom, and reputation at risk. Why and who on God's green earth would RISK THEIR ENTIRETY FOR A MAN WHO DOESN'T OFFER JACK SHIT OTHER THAN SOMEONE THREATENED????
He is wish washy, switches up from cold to nice, which fucks up the reputation she has been trying to build for their relationship(OVERLOOKING THEIR OWN RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS, WHICH IS EVEN MORE BS). She is doing this shit because she's kind enough to, she's out here getting allies and shit, dealing with all this mess basically on her own. Is he a damsel in distress? Moral support? Is he only supposed to hold a sign from the sidelines that says "You've got this FL!!" And only intervene when its basically useless, but not when his ass is actually needed???
Like literally, please anyone, name one useful thing this man has done to assist both HIMSELF and her. Name something he has done that she basically didn't do or plan for him. He's all, "Oh, I must do what I must to protect the people I care for." But yet is a walking contradiction who has barely any useful teamwork to offer.
He's hot, but what else is there? Imma need him to start pulling his weight realll soon. He needs to keep it instilled in his mind that he owes this woman, no doubt about that.
Based on the latest chapter, it seems like something happened to ML in the past that made him kinda "wishy washy".
I believe it's because he wants to stay out of politics and conflicts regarding the throne. But it also seems like he's slowly resolving himself to fight because of FL.
In the first place, FL accepted whether or not it was out of pity. Like she mentioned in the previous chapters, she could have just escaped and she had chances to, but she chose to stay.
And besides, aside from a strong FL, It's a nice change of pace to not have an all-powerful ML. Hope he finally solidifies his resolve tho. Him getting back the throne is good for both humans and demons
This story is awesome thus far, definitely a "This is good, but what am I even reading."
I like the plot and I definitely wanna see how Jin turns out.
A lot of people are trying to figure out what the ships are, and I def agree, but I seriously wonder if Jin and Charin are even gonna happen. Like the dudes dead and being reconstructed with a new body, its not really the same person. I wonder how this is gonna affect Jin, who is definitely not mentally stable. He is good at hiding it, but I feel like eventually something is gonna make him crack, and I kinda wanna see the chaos it causes.
But related to the title of my comment, each character is given so much life and individual character, but one core thing all of them are missing is the ability to accept their emotions. Like are none of these people emotionally intelligent? What would it take to even get them to that point? Everybody is like, "Well, these emotions are useless." Useless?? Like what?? Are you dumb, stupid, or dumb? All of them have eighth grade syndrome.
Anyways good story, hopefully it progresses in a way that isn't absolutely devastating.
I cried a lot during this and I'll probably cry more because of just how sad it is. Violet and Winter both love each other truly but just don't see eye to eye and have different definitions of love and affection. Winter believes showing love is through money and gifts, while Violet believes showing love is through spending time together. They both have gone through a lot and I hope they can grow together into better people.
Sometimes we get so caught up in what's wrong and what's right that we forget that we are human. Winter messes up a lot, but it was never because he didn't love her, he tried to give her stuff but both their families stopped Violet from recieving it and from Winter truly knowing what happened. Yes, Winter is screwing up and he should be spending more time with her. However we are readers, we see the thoughts and issues behind the scenes, but he is a character who sees only through his eyes. He believes she is acting weird even though she has all that money and those gifts he gave her, but truly she does not and she is being hurt all the time. He doesn't know, but when he notices signs he does something. We can't expect him to suddenly he perfect, we can't expect either of them to be. They may just be characters to us, but if you every truly want to understand someone, look at them as a human who struggles too and things become so much clearer and understandable.
I hope they can both gain happiness together. (⌒▽⌒)
This is truee, although we know he is sometimes a jerk, there are also times where you’ll understand that he is also hurt. Hope they’ll slowly grow with each other. And since Winter’s business is now stable, he didn’t need to do everything and can spend some time with her, which she just wants the most from him, hope it won’t be too late tho:( because Violet’s does not value her life anymore:(( it’s really sad and hurting. Overall, the characters were well written and not too rush to solve the ‘problem’ its in order and we are just in phase where problems are still flowing
1. Do not invalidate other people's feelings just because your tolerance is higher to some things. (Ex. Rape)
2. Be responsible for what you do. If you decide to do something then you are the one at fault for how you feel about it, because we cannot control that and the world does not revolve around your opinions. (Ex. What you read)
3. Be kind to others and stop getting mad about something that you should've known you'd be dealing with. If you know it's controversial, then I suggest you do not speak on it unless you wish for a debate. (Ex. Translators statements)
That is all I have to say about what you should be aware of. This situation personally does not involve me and I enjoyed the story/art even though the translation was kind of crappy, so I have no complaints. However, I am getting tired of translators interrupting the story to add their input, you are breaking the immersion and I do not appreciate it. If you have something to say, do not say it in between blank parts of the manga because it is extremely annoying.
I personally do not care how any of you feel and I just wish to enjoy the manga and the hard work the artists and authors went through to make it. I do not like the translators shoving paragraphs about their own personal opinions everywhere, because it is annoying. I will feel how I wish to feel about the story, I do not care if you like, dislike, misunderstand, or are even angry about something involving the plot.
Just don't interrupt the story. Please and thank you.
I actually kind of liked this, it was very short of course, but that gave you more empty spaces to fill in yourself. It was like a puzzle that needed to be carefully looked over so you'd understand everything.
I personally am quite happy with this couple, yes it was a bit weird and romanticizing stalking and rape isn't good. Though the way he was and the way the stalker was just really clicked. The stalker revealed himself so quickly that I almost doubted that he was truly the stalker and was just hired, haha. However he really was the stalker and his angry personality was very nice and fresh. Also the main character's life just seemed too sad and lonely, maybe someone like this was what he needed. Maybe it will be stressful sometimes, but I think it's a decent change.
I liked the story, but don't reenact this in real life! ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Why did he have to go all 'chains' and 'locked up'. The guy was already in love with him and was even jealous of him talking to that girl! They had a direct path to love, what even happened? Also where did the random stalker come from? It didn't even support the plot, it was just random! ( ̄へ ̄)I still liked the story though of course, definitely the art ♡♡.
