i feel like people are being insensitive. for number one this isn’t Ue’s story. It’s Mafuyu’s. And I think yall being ignorant to how people grieve. It’s not like Yuki and him broken up and he fell at out of love. Mafuyu didn’t even have the chance to do so. There’s nothing wrong with having thoughts from time to time about him. And he clearly loves Ue for him. He’s not looking for Yuki in him. I don’t know why yall not being realistic about this loss. This is traumatic asf to deal with without professional help. I’m looking forward to his and Ue’s relationship in a time skip
The story started treating Ue as an afterthought at some point even tho he is one of the leads. Even to OTHER characters he was just becoming a Yuki replacement. That was one of the bigger issues. U can grieve but people still tuned in for a BL abt the main couple, not about the dead ex lover and how everyone wished he was still alive. They were forcing Ue into some weird position as his replacement. Even Ue was influenced by Yuki with the whole song writing. The issue is: there was too much of that. No balance.
i came upon this comment some time ago and at that time i was one of those people that hated it whenever Yuki was brought up because then it would mean no moving forward for both Ue and Mafuyu, especially the latter. but this comment made me stop and think then...and hold off from smashing either a thumbs up or a thumbs down lmao. it took me a while but now i can finally say that the whole Yuki saga was necessary for Mafuyu to grow and develop. it was excruciatingly painful since as you said, he is grieving and most readers weren't on board with that, but it was necessary and i don't care if people still think otherwise but with them graduating at the end of the manga it felt like both Mafuyu and Ue both came a long way with their characters individually. it was a mess for sure with how Yuki kept getting brought up but they came a long way. personally i just hope we get to see a Mafuyu smiling at the thought of Yuki now because that would mean his grief had passed but i mostly hope the timeskip sequel will focus more on Mafuyu and Ue in their newly developed characters (i mean, wow ten years). i don't think were safe from any dramas tho like i feel like we're probably gonna see new problems arise and develop seemingly new but familiar frustrations (i hope not) but i guess that's how most stories go anyway.

They’re not official. Ian told him he couldn’t commit to a relationship and would be seeing other people. Jo left, heartbroken. Then he came back and asked if Ian liked him. Ian said he did. Jo said that if he likes him, then he’s willing to see Ian under the terms that they’re in a non-exclusive friends with benefits relationship. So Ian is free to see both Jo and TJ and anyone else he likes. All parties are okay with this.
Gotta say I don’t think Jo is REALLY okay with it like Hoin in lucky paradise. And for that matter I don’t think TJ really is either
Well to be fair neither Jo or TJ are okay with sharing Ian. They’d like to have him for themselves. However they’ve accepted that he can’t give them more than a “non-exclusive friends with benefits” situationship. If they’re not okay with other, they can either
1. ask Ian to choose—which he doesn’t want to, so they might lose him over that
2. stop sleeping with him, which none of them want to because they’re sexually attached to each other
3. they can stop seeing him, which isn’t likely to happen either
So I’m sure we’ll be in this limbo until the story ends. I hear there are four seasons of this
I feel bad for jo but ian jas clearly told him he isn't ready for the type of relationship jo wants yet . Same for tj . His situation with ian is even more complicated
