Alicia is such a annoying character, but i can see where she comes, they came from a poor family, so poor some of the siblings had to die to lessen the family's ability to buy food for each, she got sold to some man to get the wages/dowry and they saw what happened when their siblings died, so they are very eager to survive. Also, in poverty there is either you die hungry or you fight hungry, both alicia and paula have that second trait, they'd do whatever to keep both of them alive, that is why paula is so eager to keep alicia safe, but Alicia on the other hand is veryy selfish, so selfish that what she gets is also what her sister should get. (Equality, same as when siblings ask for each others stuff but only gives what's equal)
This novel/manhwa is so good, because in family especially in sibling dynamics, someone has to play the helpless and other the breadwinner, alicia thinks that shes the helpless and only her sister can be the breadwinner and help everyone out in the family, so she do what it takes to make her sister side with her even if its evil. She doesn't know family and is willing to survive without paula.
