this one is geniuenly hard to rate, because it does some things brilliantly and out of the box, while failing at simple stuff like pacing . The way she is aware how EVERYONE has failed her and forces them point-blank to acknowledge it? Wow, chills when she admitted she had died so casually. Also good for her for giving up on her fiance, I honestly hope she'll end up with someone else/no one - because as she poined out, he, as well as her brother, mother etc, just turned a blind eye to her being neglected and used. Rare for manhwa to admit it so loudly, without villainizing those people beyond return. The interactions with the ogMC/regressor are interesting, especially seeing it from that girl's perspective. What I have issue is pacing - some scenes feel short, sometimes info is randomly thrown at us in a way that feels forced, the changes in characters' behavior toward MC feel sudden (the ML and the brother especially, seriously, one interaction and you're already flipping 180??? that was all you needed????) and overall the quality is inconsistent. + the Imperial consort and the emperor are comicly cliché villains, hope that's not all we get. This manhwa is sometimes peak (especially the angsty moments), but sometimes so mid it's painful

I so so so respect the author for not "curing" the trauma around pregnancy with pregnancy - too often it's brushed off or disappears entirely to "leave side stories pure fluff", but I like this grounded approach more. They both have trauma, it manifests in differently, and tho it'll probably go the expected ~everything is good, worries were unfounded, the curse has ended~ way, I appriciate the fears not being swept under the rug but actually addressed - especially since the Valentine's curse/god's plans for the child are A VERY VALID worry

it has everything - skilled MC who isn't a genius out of nowhere/ healer with powers/ person with modern knowledge, but worked hard for her skills. On top of that, it's quite realistic depiction of someone on the autism spectrum without making her a superpowered savoint Autism Powers caricature, but a multi-layered character with interesting story. Plus the romance, gosh - it's ML fell first AND he fell harder. Also he is more complex person than just MC's accessory/savior figure/solution to all problems. It's refreshing he isn't bland, his "darker" moments of fighting boredome, indifference toward life and seeking anything that snaps him out - yet, let's be honest, he is neck deep into MC and no amount of self-gaslighting will convince me it's still a game to him. Even the side characters are interesting. AND THE HUMOR IN THE SERIES!!! AND MEDICAL ACCURACY!!! It has it all.










update after reading the spoilers: it goes downhill with classic angst+escape+pregnancy+regret and getting back route, I'm so, SO disappointed, instead of original and different story we get the same old clichés... completly disrespectful to the MC

this whole manhwa is one giant love letter to transemigration/reincarnation genre and I'm here for it

this comics is about what happens when a master of overthinking meets his match. In all seriousness though, I like how Eunho's mental problems are addressed, so proud of him, how he's going to therapy and trying his best - there are slip ups, but that makes it realistic. Many people with intrusive thoughts or tendency to spiral can relate

on the other hand, Sunghoon (the BFF) is the voice of reason we ALL need in our lives

the title on this site is a mistranslation, the official one - ''opposites attract" is WAY better as it grasps the core of this manhwa - there is no rivalary, they are just two guys who are polar opposites in almost every way. One is emotional and wears his heart on his sleeve, and the other hardly feels anything, just living by without a real purpose. It is good, but to see the bigger picture, you have to read at least 30 chapters

Now for the spoilers territory:
I've almost dropped it around chapter 25. I thought it was the classic "uke down bad, gets mistreated by an arrogant asshole, after he leaves seme gets stuck by One True Love curse and regrets his playboish ways", and I was tired of reading the same story but with new faces. Glad I stayed. This one takes a SUPER interesting spin, and actually explores it in depth - what if the ML was actually a psychopath? Not like "he's a manipulative bitch/killer-to-be/yandere in the making" - just a person who doesn't feely things the way most people do. He doesn't have bad intentions, but his perception of the world differs from what one might call 'common sense'. It's a small deviation from the usual, but it has HUGE rammifications - the second half of the comics explores how this difference can be taxing for a relationship, how much more effort it takes to work, and how sometimes, there is no right or wrong, just different perspectives. I think it's an interesting read, rarely do we get to see neuroatypicallity addressed so directly (no matter if it's about autism spectrum, personality disorders or other things under this category) and not just implied or as a 'character quirk'. Their differences matter, they create problems and it's not easy to be in a relationship when such things are involved, but that doesn't mean it can't work!! and that's beautiful!!! the power of putting in effort and communication is strong in this one, but I appriciate the author for not magically solving everything with power of love.

Better read than I expected, but to see what's unique about it, you have to read it whole - the first half may not seem special, but the second changed my perspective

the amount of love for paintings, Venice and art restoration is astonishing. I can feel the author really cared about things they were writing about, the little details, cultural differences... It has been a long time since I've seen a comics with that much care to surroundings.

The romance is fire - their flirting, the back-and-forth... especially the MC surprised me many times - when my boy gets horny, he GOES FOR IT. Mad respect.

THIS SHOULD OFF ENDED AT CHAPTER 69, GIMME SPINOFF WITH SOO-YOUNG FINDING HAPPINESS WITHOUT PSYCHOS AROUND (by himself or as a fluffy romance with a green flag)

I was amazed at first, seeing it as a cautionary tale about toxic relationships and how they can surround us without the alarms going off, but after that, it became masochist angst rape porn I cannot stand by any longer.

Is the MC pathetic ugly stupid loser? Yes. DO I LOVE HIM NONETHELESS? SURE AS HELL I DO!!! this one is so fresh, unique and out of the box that I want to give all my money to the author for bringing me this joy. Great spin on "wealthy cold chaeboal and poor happy-go-lucky guy". They make so much sense in their weird combo. It's fast yet totally slowburn. MORE LOVABLY PATHETIC LEADS PLEASE!!!
