It was dissociation, a separation of the mind and body. It's an negative way he was coping with stress. It happened because Haruki was emotionally beaten down to the point he was losing the will to fight back. You may have forgotten that his only strength, Hanabusa, broke up and is now (by ch 12) angry with him. His depression even got him in the hospital, became anorexic and so numb of everything, he cut his own hand. And seeing him like that, Hikaru is still around, sticks like a gum under your shoes, no remorse, no guilt. So "Fuck it you like sex? Fine I give you sex. Here's my ass. This is what you wanted, right?" breakdown happened. Now does he still like it?

I would like to have your magic crystal ball that lets you see the future...sounds handy! I am kidding. But seriously none of us know how it will end. Even if you think it's bad writing to have them in love it can still be written that way anyway if she decides to. Again we shall see. Who knows?

But those Yaoi stories are not portraying rape as real as this. The tone of the whole series is not like those that uses that common line.

Haruki is not tsundere though...Do you seriously think this manga is using rape the same way it is used in rape trope yaoi? Even with all the emotional trauma? If the two end up "in love" it would be from Stockholm syndrome not Haruki suddenly realizing his trauma felt good. An ending like that would leave a horrible plot hole in the story.

Of course it's fiction so anything is a possibility. Haruki could suddenly sprout wings if the author wanted him to but would also be illogical and go against the realism of the manga. I have hopes that Kashio will give this manga an ending that is consistent with the rest of the story.

In other words, following Jaz's reply, Kashio is not stupid.
