i think every thing in japan costs less but thats because everyone is paid way less than places like america
higher demand = lower cost for a wider market
otaku culture is still fairly niche outside of japan, even more so when you consider how many people prefer streamable anime over physical copies of manga, so there's a bit of a luxury cost to having the hobby imported (or translated and printed locally)

Not very far with this but is it just me or is the translation for the first two chapters kinda ass? I can't read japanese or anything but theres another translation on a different site which translates the "crying" in this one as "top", which makes more sense given the context of this manga. Also the 2nd chapter last page translation here makes it look like Ren is the top which makes Satou's reaction make no fucking sense and is ALSO WRONG. Also the explanation for gap moe... I just wanted to see some good gap moe power bottom shenanigans but the first two chapters are taking me out
