Does it state why Maxi's mum married the duke? I know the duke married her for the land (or something like that) because she was part of the Roem royal family (or something like that). But why did her family agree if the land would end up belonging to the duke? Also, I don't understand the concept of dowries. Why does a woman have to provide a dowry to get married?
Sorry, I could search this myself, but I'm afraid it might just make me even angrier about how women were treated. Huhu. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
Just to say...the unofficial translations are really good. I read them with more emotion/intonation like real live conversation. Compared to the official. I wonder if the official close to the korean? Does the unofficial add things...for example chapter 44, Hyung (forgot his name. Huhu. Is it Jihan?) call Chae Yoojung in unofficial...Yoojeong in official (sorry....forgot the spelling). The unofficial more funny to me because like parent/elder who usually call kid full name before scolding them. (≧∀≦)
In Korean you typically use full name to people you don’t know well or in a different age/status group than you (typically older). It is a respect thing, so the opposite of someone scolding you (where you’re the one with authority). But people do use the full name when scolding for more effect. But in this case it’s to show respect to someone considered a “stranger”.
My reactions. Haha.
Chapter 152: Seeing Maxi at the banquet..."Maxiiii! So beautifuulllll!!!"
Chapter 153: Seeing Maxi running to see the guests..."Maxiiii!!! Please rest!!!"
Honestly, she reminds me of my mum. My mum can't stay still even on her late 60s. Always working and helping others even after retired.
Dr. Hayashi is such an interesting character! His friend too. (≧∀≦) Reading the latest chapter, I was like, "Maybe I'll meet my destined partner like this too?" ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
(This might be spoiler, so just in case, I check the spoiler warning box):
But then the whole "Actually, we've met during our younger days" thing happened, and all my hope vanished. Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
Though I only skimmed some chapters and read bits here and there, I really love how realistic this feels to me. It shows the ups and downs of life and the contrast between ideal relationships and reality. Just like in my own life, things did not go the way I once expected, but I’ve come to accept that everyone has their own unique life story.
Anyone remembers who are the other vassal's representatives during the discussion? I thought they are already okay with Tia but I then maybe it's her aunt they were okay with? I don't remember... Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
They each are involved in different businesses that involve Lombardi (mining, construction, knights, merchants guild, etc). They’re wary cause Tia is still relatively young and doesn’t have much experience. Technically, she’s only ever done the delivery service for them, and they know she involved (but they don’t know to what degree) in the Pellant Corporation’s Cruise Ship.
There were only 3 vassal houses that was in for Tia. Forgot the names but Clerivan's dad, the Delivery house, and the other one... I forgot...
OTHER HOUSES also saw that Tia will be good as a matriarch but they tought she was still so young and that skipping Gallahan and Shananet wouldn't be good either. They did want Shananet to be the Matriarch (coz Gallahan gave up the race).
If Gallahan hadn't given up they tought that it would be best if Gallahan became the head so the next head would be Tia.

Wait. What did Perez do in the waiting room while he had the tea with the emperor before the assembly?
It’s been a long time since I last read it. I believe he already predicted that lavini would poison the emperor so he gave him an antidote when they were talking in the waiting room.
Oh~ That's interesting. Thanks.
