as a novel reader it infuriates me every time i think about it. it definitely soured how i feel about iltae even though they got "better" in the other books.
The bar is so low, how would you describe getting better in the other books? I read only some parts so far. Does tay even have the option to not be with ilay? Does he have the freedom to choose? Because making the ''decision'' to stay with somebody due to not having another option/being trapped or threaten if you try to leave, is not a real change for the better.

“Better” basically means more domesticated. Ilay is still crazy, but yk, atleast he’s more playful crazy and not aggressively violent towards taeui crazy.
That is what i thought. In one chapter of the sequele, it is said that tay is with ilay on his own will. But i am not really sure if that is true, or just the author trying to sugar coat things. I mean if tay had no option but to stay, the whole relationship is still that of a power play where one person is controled and dominated aka tay by the other. Did the author really intend to make this a dark romance story? Because it looks to me that the romance aspect was never properly developed, and it would have worked better as something else. Like a psychological, obsession, lust kind of story. Since the ML fits the criteria of somebody that is unable to understand and feel love.
Why yall so irritated and disappointed the story was so obviously headed in this direction. Aaron ALWAYS gave crazy. There’s nothing new about that.

If we’re pushing this story into a hunter x prey direction ofc there will be confinement, however that doesn’t mean I want ts to turn into Reverse Thinking.
I hate how realistic this story is. Conversations and situations like this happen in real life and it’s so unsettling. Give me my happily ever after already
