That is not what I meant. Did you even read the whole thing? It does have a sex scene, even though it's not an explicit one. Also, shotacon is about romantic or sexual relationships between an underage boy and an adult man(in some cases it could also be a woman) or romantic or sexual relationships between two underage boys.
And those themes are clearly visible in this manga.
If there is an "unexplicit" love element, beit sexual or not, then it's shounen ai. Only is it shotacon if there's actual sex between little boys or between a little boy and a grownup. I haven't invented those terms, you know. But I gathered you were joining in the chorus that go: "omg, pedo! disgusting!" at every shotacon manga. Guess you weren't. But why is this the only good shotacon manga then?

No, I'm not saying you did. You said it was a prototype of a good shota. So, only shota manga that don't include any erotism are "good" shota? That doesn't make sense. It's not the age of the protagonists, it's the erotism that actually makes it shotacon! Otherwise, all shounen ai or any other manga featuring little boys would be entitled to be called "shotacon". I still don't get what you mean.
A good shota in my opinion should be cute and the main couple should have a close relationship with mutual feelings. This is only a "good" shota because it doesn't really have sex (except that one unexplicit one, but even there the uke looked older) it would have been a "great" one if it had the sexual actions that it lacks. I like the shota mangas that have sex in them, but shotas that are only like a sex scene between the main kid and someone else are not something I consider re-readable. This is a shota that I've re-read just for the fluff, and that's why I think it's a good one :) When I first read (and commented on) this, I was in the mood for fluff and that's why I wrote that comment.
Aaaahy seee ;-) it's the fluff X-D As far as I'm concerned, a shotacon or any other genre of manga is good when it's well drawn, has a funny, or exciting, or endearing or excellent story in whatever other way, and since in Japan they're able to distinguish between reality and imagination, unlike in America, I don't mind any sort of "explicit" content, the way those moralists do. I fact, as long as it's well drawn, the more explicit the better! Why not? It's just art on paper, nobody's being harmed.
But fluff is good too X-D

One of the reasons that I like manga and anime is because they are FICTIONAL. Anything can happen without any real person being harmed. Although I started reading shota mangas for the fluff, I can't deny the fact that I also enjoy reading (and watching) shotas that are similar to "Boku no pico".
I also understand why my topic might have annoyed you, with seeing all the "moralists" rampaging the topic section of the shota mangas, with their: "ewww, pedophilia!", "The creator of this manga is sick and should be killed!" and of course the ones who go around these mangas saying something between the lines of: "Any rational person should know that making sick stuff like this is wrong, because there are real people who've been molested as children!"
I wonder why they never say such things about manga characters being maimed or stabbed or shot or... whatever more happens in "action" stories... I happen to know there's millions of real people who've been killed or wounded, and still seinen and other violent stories are considerd innocent entertainment. Nobody goes:"ugh! disgusting! Whoever likes that must be a murderer too!" Quite the opposite, games and movies and comics get more violent all the time. Know what I mean?
Japan has the lowest crime level in the whole world, sex crimes included. Despite (or maybe thanks to ?) shotacon and lolicon and hentai and yaoi ... Who knows? One thing I know is: Judge not, lest thy be judged! (=・ω・=)

You probably haven't enabled it from the settings. There is this tiny box in the settings that reads "do no show to others". Click it to get rid of the "v" mark on it and others should be able to see your country :)
