“He feels like he’s in my chest” yeah bro I think it’s because he is. Go to the hospital

You know I at least thought he walked in on Kazuma sleeping with his crush, but the guy just was friends with Noah who also went to these orgies? It wasn’t even like Kazuma and his group were coercing Noah into anything either, they just all hung out at the same spot. Is he for real about to hurt some innocent guy because a man who reminds him of an awkward college event has moved past that point in his life and is happy? It doesn’t get sadder than this man

A part of me wants to feel bad for Jaekyung and the decline of the gym, but like. Man did this to himself. This is literally just the consequences of his own actions. Every time he was volatile, condescending, or unnecessarily violent, he further guaranteed that there would be no other outcome. I hope he gets his character development from this

Assasin8 created a topic of Habibi's Rabbits

Look, people have made some unwise choices in this story, but this last stretch is kind of making me mad with how contrived it is. Like what was the brother’s plan here if Haru hadn’t bitten a human that he cared about? Haru didn’t bite her because of any plan that was orchestrated, he just kind of did it. Why did he bite her to begin with? Like yeah she was being harsh to his boyfriend, but I can’t be the only one who thought that it was super forced for him to bite her rather do literally anything else, like push her away or kick her out of the house right? A series of unnatural actions and lucky coincidences had to happen in order for the plot to get here, and that makes it feel badly written. Additionally, our boys have done dumb stuff in the past, like turn into humans when they knew there were security cameras around because they were banking on Habibi being too busy to check, but going to the rabbit kingdom with no plan after knowing what the place does to moon rabbits is next level stupid. Like thank goodness Neungso used his words to explain to Haru why he didn’t want him to go there, but again, I can’t be the only one who thinks it’s ridiculous that Haru feels comfortable going there because Neungso will protect him when Neungso is the one saying they shouldn’t go, right? And Neungso knows how widespread his brother’s support in the rabbit kingdom is, and he knows that in general theyre outnumbered like 50 to 1, so why does Haru believing in him even kind of make him feel like he can protect him there? He knows better than anyone that he has no support there, so why does Haru’s unfounded confidence change anything? I’m really hoping next chapter will reveal that they actually came up with some master plan to get Habibi treated and then bust out, but the look on Neungso’s face in this last panel was just so surprised that I’m concerned. Logically there’s no way he didn’t see this coming, but again, contrived and illogical choices have definitely been made in this story before

I think it’s really easy for a lot of us to say that Sohan should have turned his dad down with the script he had in his head, but I do get that he’s too kind and subconsciously a little attached to his father. It’s a shitty situation, and I think he also knows that the objectively correct course of action is to never see him again, but I think this moment of kindness being a weakness that will be objectively bad for him is a really human thing to happen. Hopefully this arc ends in him choosing his happiness and he can firmly set boundaries with his dad regardless of what that asshat says to him

Man, you know it’s bad because my immediate first thought was “oh damn, Jaekyung is going to physically injure Dan. Really badly.” They’re really setting Jaekyung up to do something truly awful (even more so than everything he’s already done)– he’s going to assault Kim Dan and believe the worst of him, even though Dan gave up on a chance to extend his GRANDMA’S LIFE and a much higher paying salary for this POS. Even if the rival coach was lying, Dan made an incredible sacrifice with the information he had, and Jaekyung is going to punish him severely for it. This manhwa is a torture porn

So…. The ML definitely bought the MC’s apartment and former workplace, right? And then he definitely rendered him homeless and jobless so that he could appear before the MC as his hero and make him completely dependent on him, right? He’s just so suspicious with his timing at that one panel, and he’s obviously not only rich but also obsessive… I feel like this is going to be a toxic ride XD

I started reading this randomly, and although it doesn’t say so in the description, this appears to be an adaptation of “After the Stand in Shou Faked his Death,” which I’ve been following for a long time. I’ve only read up to chapter 6 of this manhua, but holy crap the He Yang propaganda is insane. In the novel he’s way more cold towards the main character (in addition to always covering his eyes during sex, he constantly outright ignores the food Yu Chengyan makes for him, lets his friends degrade him, and refuses to tell Yu Chengyan that he likes him or even confirm that they’re in a romantic relationship. They’d been living together for five years before Yu Chengyan’s accident, but despite Yu Chengyan cooking for him, cleaning the house, picking He Yang up from the bar, and you know, regularly having sex with him for that entire time all while Yu Chengyan makes it very clear that he loves him, He Yang still shuts him down when he tries to officially affirm their relationship. Moreover, the early chapters don’t highlight how much He Yang really does seem to treat the main character as a substitute. In the novel, the main character is always being dressed in the glasses and clothing that Shen XiuZhu is known for, not just during the one party, and I think they end up justifying that retroactively, but it’s made so so clear that He Yang is sparing absolutely zero thoughts to Yu Chengyan’s actual likes and dislikes. It kind of feels like this manhua will end up being less satisfying down the line when He Yang finally gets his comeuppance, because now it’s not that he deserves the pain for taking Xu Chengyan for granted and choosing not to commit, but instead he’s just bad at showing emotions and he’s just been misunderstood this whole time

It’s so incredibly rare for manhwa characters to have the kind of chemistry these two do. And the GAME holy crap. For a couple of slightly awkward dudes, they have some of the smoothest and surprisingly natural sounding flirting I think I’ve ever heard in a manhwa

Assasin8 created a topic of Continued Love

This manhua is such an absolute mess… like I knew I was getting into trash, but this is next level. For one, the two couples in this series are a tough sell, because even though I like the Chengs, I don’t think I really support either of their relationships. The main couple is at least understandable because all the really matters is that Lu Tao returns the MC’s feelings and forgives him, and clearly Cheng Jin feels bad about how he acted at the start of their relationship, but oh my god, if my stalker forced me to marry them by cancelling my grandma’s surgery, and then my grandma was disabled directly because of this, I don’t think i would ever be able to feel anything but hurt and resentment towards them. Of course they can grow and change, but that doesn’t mean I have to forgive them, and Lu Tao didn’t need to either. Regardless of my feelings on that though, if I were Lu Tao’s friend in real life and he made this choice, I could see that Cheng Jin is sincere about his feelings and genuinely trying to do what’s best for his love, even if it means leaving/is misguided, so I could say “alright man, if it makes you happy.” But Cheng Xu and Yan Qi are just completely inexplicable as a couple were supposed to support. Can you imagine raping, blackmailing, and humiliating a guy you liked, then hearing him say out loud “I don’t want to be with you because of the rape and everything else” and then responding with “babe do you know how hard it is for me to not rape and kidnap you right now? I want you to love me, not just have sex with me” before immediately proceeding to rape the guy? Absolute wackadoodle behavior. AND THEN. THEY PULL THE TRIED AND TRUE. “I DIDNT DO ANYTHING TO SHOW IVE CHANGED, BUT I’LL SAVE YOUR LIFE AND GET HURT IN THE PROCESS SO YOU’LL TAKE ME BACK.” I love wife chasing crematorium stories and I see this all the time in the disappointing ones, but it doesn’t hurt less *^* and if Cheng Xu accepting his marriage proposal in where the end of it, then I can at least pretend that Yan Qi chooses to be less insane about his husband going forward and that they learn to respect each other, but no. We are expressly shown and told that years later, they fight regularly and Yan Qi will still KIDNAP AND BLACKMAIL even after all this time for Cheng Xu’s attention. Like bro can’t even let his husband interact with his assistant, who Yan Qi has also known for three years at this point, plus he’ll still forcibly have sex with Cheng Xu when Cheng Xu is trying to reason with him. If I were Cheng Xu’s friend, not only would I not support his choices, I think I would have to be regularly calling the police

In addition to the messiness of the couple, the story is a wreck. It started with a solid premise, but god it probably should have ended when the the main characters reconnected and mutually affirmed their feelings for each other. After that, maybe the side pairing story could have been fair game pacing wise, but then to bring in the memory loss AGAIN? It’s like a TV show was told to make more episodes of a show during a wrap party. Genuinely the second memory loss where they go back to school for the ML’s recovery feels like an alternate version of the original premise that was scrapped. It felt like new characters should have been made for that plot. But since it used the main characters we have, it was kind of worse, because now I’m out here thinking “wow, it’s kind of selfish for the main characters to hijack a whole school to pretend that Lu Tao is the high school student he thinks he is.” They’re out here competing with literal children in PE when they’re in their 30s? Getting their MIDTERMS cancelled because the whole school had to be assembled and informed of this charade? And on top of all that, the author gave them a kid in the last arc, so Cheng Jin just full on ditched his child (and his job???) to go role play high school with his husband. And somehow it just keeps going, because once the ML gets his memory back, he changes personalities a THIRD time, because now this isn’t Continued Love, the manhua about a married couple who come to understand their partner and themselves better when amnesia forces them to spend time with each other, it’s now Mr. Dior, where half of a married couple has a brain injury that makes him think he’s playing different character cliches while the other half has to play along for medical reasons(?) again, that’s a concept for a different manhua that’s made worse by being shoved into this story specifically, because now it feels like the lore is confused. Originally, Lu Tao had amnesia, but they later found that it was actually the manifestation of a different personality which was brought out by a combination of Zerg and werewolf venom, and it was that specific combo that led to his unique symptoms. But now he manifests amnesia/altered memories/ different personalities because of just any kind kind of injury? And it muddles what the original thing was because the second personality from early in the series was implied to have always been there, and Lu Tao choosing to merge his main self and his other self was akin to choosing to embrace his feelings for Cheng Jin despite their rocky past, symbolically choosing to “Continue [their] love” as the title references. But now his other personalities arent even really based on him anymore. Now his brain will just make up stuff, for whatever reason. And this hasn’t even touched on the fact that there’s a constant tonal roller coaster happening because they’re living out these romcom scenarios while some background enemy occasionally tries to kill or kidnap them? And also there’s robots that can impersonate people now? And I think any other story would have focused on that and centered the story around that conflict, but we’re just kind of pingponging between like the funny cringe of Lu Tao falling in love with a guy we already know he’s married to, and the thrill and paranoia of the robots thing, which the characters don’t seem to be as seriously or competently as I would have hoped. I’m glad I’m so used to reading garbage because this series is a ride, and the builders forgot to put in several stretches of track

They have literally no right being so hot. Like they’ve only gotten to foreplay, but oh my god they’re just so into each other and so comfortable in each other’s presence, it’s sexy in like another plane of perception. They may be drawn as attractive people, but their looks don’t have as much to do with how steamy their sex is as their pure, unbridled fascination and sense of ease with each other. Not pretending their looks don’t help though, because Sung Ho’s face looking up after he cums? Kwon Haebeom holding him in this lap? It’s kind of unfair

This manga is so weird… like intuitively I feel like Nux is being excessively harsh with how blatantly he’s using the Owens for money, but like they’re also fully aware of this and are taking advantage of it? I feel like it’s kind of shitty for Nux to be callous and dismissive of Owen’s feelings, but also, it’s not like he owes anyone his feelings, and the Owens are raping and manipulating him at every turn, so he has pretty good reason for not really accepting their feelings for him. The story sure makes me feel bad for Owen, who is pregnant with a child whose father doesn’t appear to want them, but Nux pretty explicitly didn’t want to have sex with these guys, and he wasn’t seriously told that pregnancy was an option, so how much can you really blame him?

Man I can never get enough of Lin Li and Zhi Banyi’s relationship… Lin Li struggles with a lot of his own baggage, and it just feels like Zhi Banyi has such a realistic and down to earth way of being a good friend and boyfriend. He can’t fix all of Lin Li’s problems, but he can stand by his side and give him space or lend an ear. His presence won’t erase the pressure that caused Lin Li to constantly put up a false perfect front, but he can love Lin Li unconditionally and show him that he doesn’t need to be perfect to be deserving of love. Zhi Banyi is just so sensitive and honest that Lin Li can’t help but feel reassured in his presence, and it’s such a beautiful and healthy way to portray a mature, adult relationship. The scene at the bridge especially just speaks volumes about why they work– Lin Li is used to putting other people first, and the people he loves have always expected him to be considerate of their needs. In this moment too, he was about to coddle Zhi Banyi and sacrifice his time at his special spot just so that his boyfriend won’t feel bad, but instead of disapproving of Lin Li’s choice of spot to relax, he shares in the beauty of the thing Lin Li likes, and he validates his choices by being excited about the scenery. It just perfectly represents what Zhi Banyi brings to his life, with his positivity and his optimistic interpretation of Lin Li’s decisions contrasting sharply with Lin Shu’s concern that the bridge represents Lin Li’s depression. Regardless of what the bridge actually means to Lin Li, Zhi Banyi will always see the best in him, all while not being blind to the fact that Lin Li has moments of struggle too. Just. What a sweet and healing relationship to read about

I’m seeing a lot of people saying that Brian and Ian are way too different, and that thw backstory feels excessively long because there’s not even the barest hint of Brian and Ian feeling like the same person. I definitely agree that this backstory is taking longer than I want it to, but isn’t it the point that Brian and Ian are like the sun and moon? Is the point of this backstory not to show us that Ian is right, in that they may be the same soul but they’ve led such different lives and are such different people that there’s no way they’re the same person? Mostly it kind of just extra hits home that Ian is completely justified in feeling a little lied to, since it feels like Sol doesn’t like him for him, but rather likes that he’s supposedly Sol’s long dead love. Seeing Brian in action now, it really does feel like all the things Sol liked about Brian– his drive, his optimism, his knowledge, his bravery, his desire to learn, his dedication to helping others– aren’t really things Ian has. They both have being kind in common, but the person who taught Sol about what it means to be human faced a completely different set of problems than Ian did, and with any luck, the author is going to make this the crux of the rest of the series. That’s Sol has to accept that Brian will never return exactly how he wants, but he can move on and learn to love Ian as someone new

So I know that the dad is a terrible person who wrongfully imprisoned the ML and lied to the MC about the ML getting the MC into debt, but I kind of feel like he did the MC a solid by raiding the ML’s house while he was imprisoning the MC. Like yes he did it for all the wrong reasons, and yes he did forge documents to frame the ML for some crimes, but the ML was ACTUALLY guilty of a lot of wackadoodle behavior to achieve the same effect of making the MC jealous and isolating him from his support network. Also, I think the MC should have asked a lot more questions about the whole situation after confessing that he lied about the amnesia stuff. Like yes he’s a sweetie for eventually coming clean on his own, but he for real had zero questions about the ML completely fabricating this whole history with him while he thought that the ML thought he had amnesia? The ML just has so much insecurity in him, but it looks like he’s going to learn and improve as the story goes on, which is great. And he’s so lucky to have a friend like Rong Zhan looking out for him, I hope he gets his happy ever after with the brother *^*
