honestly respect for holding out so long. i also started in 7th grade and was already over it by 10th grade. i couldn’t tell u how or why i fell out but nowadays i find myself actively avoiding yaoi, like i’ll probably reread one every other month. it just doesn’t hit anymore :((

Guys have you ever told anybody in real life that you like to read yaoi manga? (neurodivergent people and social media doesn’t count) I only told one person (we’re no longer friends btw) and not anybody else because not of the explicit scenes, but because most of the storylines are so taboo and we’re somehow “fetishizing homosexuals.”
