I would like some more development with Dan. There's a lot to still be resolved, I do wonder how this will end still, I dont see him quitting or being fired even plausible since boxing was such a huge point for the plot and everything that has taken place.

So meh! I'm used to this story making me angry. The guy literally only had to kneel once and he got his damn happy ending, And Dan was not only humiliated by the person he liked (I don't really know why, I guess it's Stockholm syndrome), suffered from depression, he was physically hurt, he almost died, his grandmother died, he really suffered to get a broken man as a reward, better nothing. Some will still think it was a good ending, I'll say it was meh.
