My heart aches for the childhood friend Shunsuke. I know that the other guy Natsuki will end up with Shunsuke at the end as those last panels had me sus. Maybe it's an unpopular opinion but if the author isn't going to go the poly route then don't have Shunsuke end up with someone else. Like yeah it sucks but it's ok that in a love triangle the one that is the odd one out ends up alone. If he just gets with Nastuki if felt like it was all for nothing. Let him grieve and be sad about Makoto. Let him take a long time and go through the motions until his heart is ready to move on. Realistically not everyone can get their happy ending...it feels forced otherwise. Sure they'll look cute together but give him time to heal.. Maybe there'll be a timeskip?
I agree !! Also not to be that b* but Natsuki is really annoying as hell, rude to the max for no reason (at least not that long that he led to shusuke fucking up his shoulder) and he doesn't deserve shusuke in any way at all... if the author goes that route he better have a huge redeeming arc
