Which misunderstanding are you referring to because Haseong was a master at making up his own facts about our MC and it got worse For the longest time he thought MC was a suicidal lung cancer patient who also worked for the National Intelligence Security despite MC trying to tell him 9999 times he's OK (JHS has never believed him)
But their relationship is very sweet, MC keeps saying JHS is being too overprotective over him which JHS actually is, and they had a little falling out over their opinion on whether gate phenomenon should disappear from the world. But MC actually cares for him a lot and was v worried in the Epilogue because JHS was so grief stricken he fainted during his funeral. JHS wrote him a letter a year later and put it in his grave with a pic of him smiling w his mother, which MC cried while reading it. KCH also hinted MC "you should go meet them someday"
