I did not read the novel and didn't see the drama nor the anime.
I ought to say that the manhua's pretty badly written, most of the time. There is no introduction to the universe and I was completely lost and didn't know what was happening for, like, the first 100 chapters.
They did such a bad job at introducing the world of this manhua, how the powers work, how the sects work, nor what exacly the sects are. Plus the story itself was told in such a strage way with constant leapings through time with the flashbacks that not only was I lost as to whether the story took place in the present or the past (Wei Wuxian's old adult body and new body had a similar design, so it really wasn't easy to understand), but I also couldn't memorize what was happening even though I binged the whole story. Like when they were telling what happenend during Jin Ling's birthday party or whatever that was and then they suddently came back to the present without any transitions and I had to go back and read the chapters before the flashbacks cause I didn't remember a thing of what was happening. Also, weirdly enough Lan Zhan looked better in earlier chapters than in the last ones lol.

Now things that annoyed me that are probably also present in the novel: The Nie (little brother's) psycholology could have been explored more. He was so cowardly during the whole story and his brother didn't treat him in the best way, so what made him go as far as resurrecting Wei Wuxian just to hypothetically avenge his older brother?
Also talking about WWX, I didn't forgive him. He never had bad intentions but Lan Zhan, especially, warned him numerous times about how his technique was harmful and how there could come a time when he wouldn't be able to control it anymore. He didn't listen. He CHOSE to keep using it knowing the consequences and never really apologized. I feel like the authors wants the reader to believe that WWX did nothing wrong and that everyone else is wrong for accusing him and being mad at him, as if they were gaslighting him, when he clearly was in the wrong. By the way it wasn't really explained neither how HE himself lost control over his own body.
I also didn't understand what happened after WWX entered the temple for the final battle. I mean, wtf was that. Was big bro Lan there to attack the Jin scumbag, why didn’t he bring and troops? Same for Jiang Cheng, why was the freaking sect leader going to the "battlefield" alone?

Anyways. I still enjoyed the story. It had a lot of potential, with intersting plot points. It's like, I liked the individual little stories but having them all combined into one big mess was too much for me.

I remember when I read this it was like reading a p*dophilia AND inc*st (though I don't think they're related by blood) story at the same time. I didn't go past the first 2 chapters.
Anyway. How sick must the author be to combine so many vices? Probably as sick as the readers who love this crap.

I see some people saying the age gap is creepy, however there is no real love story behind this. Or at least, if there was one it wouldn't be the central part of their relationship.

Edit: I come back here every once in a while, when I wrote the last comment, we were only at like 2/3 of the story. Now it has ended. I like to read this story again once in a while. It's kind of wholesome and heart shattering at the same time...

Why is this man so hot? I'm waiting for character developpement here. He's kinda very cold and sadistic but he also knows how to be kind (while still being in complete denial about it but meh)

Oh how pissed I would have been if she ended up with shihsio. Their relationship was WRONG. She was way too young, and it's not because the author made shishio a "child-man" that it made the age gap any less creepy. Shishio isn't a bad guy, but his feelings for his friends niece, and for his own student were NOT right. I hate the fact that no one except Daiki pointed it out.
Not only that, their love story was trash, full of lies, misunderstandings, and Shishio wouldn't stop hurting her without intedning to.

Daiki on the other hand was awesome. I like the fact that he never pushed his feelings on her, how kind he was, etc... sad we didn't get much of their actual love story.

I found it weird how fast and how suddently MC started to catch feelings for the one she thought of as a friend for more than a year. More like, how she suddently started seeing him as a guy.

Lastly, I liked her friendship with Yuyuka (?) It was very wholesome. They were the true otp

I was hoping this would go yuri, though I still thing that the bully white haired girl feels more that "friendship" towards the FL.
I'd be happy to see FL actually get some REAL friends (which seems to be the case with Sora, kinda), but I'd like her to be friends with the bully lol

The only bad thing is that the romance comes a little bit slowly, but still, it's so funny and cute

This is disgusting?? The only thing that made me go so far (ch30) was the very very very beautiful art style, but the story is shady af.
MC grew up with this guy, who is 11 years older than her since she was 5. The guy was basically her parent (and they say it way too many times to count). MC fell in love with him, so she wants to forget that love because she's aware (only during the first 2 chapters) that their relationship would be wrong if it turned out that way. After a few chapters we see that the guy likes her too, but he says (thinks) alarming stuff such as "I've been waiting for her for so long" or "I've been holding back for so long". I'll remind you that he's a 15 year old's 26 year old substitute parent.
The relationship goes as far as him always touching her everywhere, saying stuff such as "You've grown, your body has changed, it has totally become my type." while lying under her half naked body and hugging her. He even asks her to kiss him in the first few chapters like????
The author is shady af too! The MC is very sexualized, she has voluptious curves and often gets comments on it (even by her "parent"), and gets SA by a guy who then tries to R Word her???

This is honestly TRASH.
ML sexually harasses the FL in every chapter since the first one and still somehow gets away with it each and every damn time without even apologizing once. If someone did that to me, even if I had a crush on them or something (which she clearly doesn't btw) i'd report them.
Seriously... FL gets used by her actual crush just because he wants to see ML's reaction when he gets close to her. She's extremely stupid and annoyingly plain, to the point where you might even ask yourself what the guys see in her to like her so much.
Plot is plain, uninteresting.
Art style is pretty, at least, but the story and the characters are so bad, even the art style can't save this.

I... really really like this. I guess the art plays the biggest role but... I AM ADDICTED. The characters and their personalities aren't really developped, knowing that, I am still way too attached to them. I find myself hoping for Nakyum and Seungho to have a good ending every night, even though I know that's not gonna happen :(
