I’m just confused on why they never went into depth or fully explained what happened to the ML in that stargate thingy. Like was it battle royal to see who would last or like were they all trapped in there forced to eat each other.

no that's the end of the story. but the novel has 2 side stories, epilogue and a "what if" amnesia AU. so I'm hoping those will be added to the manhwa
