I mean i dont know tbh. Probably the teach. My question is did the father ask for medicine? And did they say no? Thats why he stole. But still theres rules and they did say the medicine was running low. So it technically puts everyone at risk and could be viewed as a “selfish act” by the father. Im also 100% sure that the death sentence wasnt the first thing they thought of. But had to take it to an extreme just because maybe people didnt listen? (reason why theres not many people in the town) an apocalypse can make everyone do unreasonable things in the name of “survival”.
