Why does every BL manhwa author have some sort of health issues. This isn't me being a dick im just genuinely concerned. Is it the bad karma everyone wishes upon them or what cause istg almost every single BL manhwa that I've read or am reading, most r on hiatus or have been cause of some serious health issues. Am I the only one who has noticed this or...?
It’s not just BL manhwa authors in my experience, but manhwa authors and artists across the board. Karma is not real, but fatigue, overwork, and a straight up parasitic work culture are. Drawing a webtoon on a schedule can be extremely taxing even for creators who don’t do anything except draw. The deadlines are tight as fuck, and going on hiatus can mean penalization and lost revenue. And it’s not a very stable source of income to begin with, considering the huge re upload community (that we are a part of) and how oversaturated the manhwa industry is. Basically, unless you’re very fortunate, you have to tough out any ailments until you physically cannot any more. Most of these artists are meeting their deadlines and uploading on schedule even through carpal tunnel, arthritis, RSI, etc etc.
Plenty of straight authors do this shit as well not just bl authors and plus i don't understand why this is popular when we have lots of normal bl manhwa and bcuz of this type of bl story getting popular and people will judge bl isn't normal

I get not liking the story and all, but people will judge BL and GL no matter how clean and uncontroversial it is. I’d rather support queer and woman-made freak art than have the community bend the knee to prudes and leave us with nothing but sterile shit.

And some authors took hiatus bcuz they need time for drawing the arts and some of them do work as well
