knew that was coming, he was far too obsessed with her for there not to be some twisted feelings too. Not surprised tbh, i reckon the mother has been using some sort of magic to make herself irresistible and it was passed on to FL, so being around those two during your formative years (and puberty) while also having very intense feelings about them will definitely end up crossing some wires.
I hope he doesnt actually attempt anything on her tho, that feels too predictable and makes him cartoonishly evil imo
also they're arguing so loudly when Varkas and the sis are right there lmao
Ugh. Im already struggling to read, why is the MC so cringe? I get she thinks its a game, but she has no sense of embarrassment, and I've never seen a teenager literally throw herself to the ground and throw a tantrum. I think these moments are meant to be funny and I am trying to consider that she's a teen (tho, I think she's like 16/17? so not even a young teen), but her behaviour is so cringe its giving me second hand embarrassment and the jokes are not really landing. She genuinely is acting like a crazy person, yet she is surprised when they are treating her like a crazy person. No sht Yona! You're a weirdo!
But it has such a high rating, does it get better? I don't mind a playful protag, but 3 chapters in and I can barely read it. It has such a cool artstyle and I like its premise, please tell me she gets better soon
ch7 "She's lost her memory... but its a good thing she hasn't become a complete idiot" uh no, she definitely has. She's become a raving childish idiot. Emperor, u may be an idiot too if u can't see that.
I need someone to rip the bandaid off, is this just the "humour" of the series and I should just quit, or does she ever stop acting like a 12yr old on a sugar rush?
I'd had my suspicions for a bit there, that Pi Bada was the NPC, not the others. Though I originally thought Pi Bada had become sentient on his own after watching them flounder so long, but them literally forcing an NPC into the storyline is actually great.
BUT that still leaves something weird... Yongtaek called Bada his BESTFRIEND and SOULMATE. Does that suggest he and Bada had something going on? Was he trying to tell him something kind of coded? If he is an NPC... would he really call him that? There is something else going on there.
I was a bit annoyed at Doha for trying to keep Bada from learning the truth but tbh I get it now. Thats depressing. But Its for the best, Bada would have been searching for the truth for the rest of the game.
OMG YES I noticed that part and I was like huh?? Even with Seongchan and Doha revealing the truth, they made it seem like they were making Bada do all the work without caring about him emotionally, considering they always ejected his tape. I think there’s a possibility that Seongchan’s and Doha’s memories aren’t the full story either.
omg they def had something. it’s possible that yongtaek and bada were dating? yongtaek may have been the only one that saw bada as a human being and not a npc. it’s also strange to me that doha and seongchan barely talked about yongtaek when it seemed like yongtaek and bada were always together. idk, either they’re hiding something or their memories themselves are faulty. atp it seems like yongtaek is the one who knows the most

I am trying my best to give this story a chance and I want to like it, it even has a 9.8. But the writing is just.... meh. I am only 11 chapters in so please tell me if it gets better.
The MC, even reborn as a beggar, hardly struggles. Ofc I know he still remembers all his training and techniques and all, but he should be struggling a little more considering he should be malnourished and not properly trained. But whatever, qi and all that. I can look past it.
But what has really stumped me is when he discovers the secret storage room and he uses his own life force qi to open it, he even says himself he will be bedridden for 1-2 months. He's throwing up blood and collapsing and everything. Then he just ignore it for a bit and even lifts an entire wooden shelf. Okay, whatever, maybe there's delay. It almost seems like there might be (he looks haggard and tired), but then after the sect leader merchant confrontation, the MC is jumping off the roof and down the mountain to pursue them. Ok. He said bedridden, but maybe movement doesnt count. But then he's fighting them and using qi????
I really want to like this story. But there is nothing satisfying about this power fantasy when nothing feels earned. The accomplishments dont hit because the MC didnt struggle at all to achieve them. Even when the story itself says he'll be weak for 1-2months (which I thought ok, here's a challenge! he needs to prove his sect's lack of a debt in 7 days which will prove a problem if he collapses! he may have to get creative or really struggle to save his sect), the story contradicts it within a chapter or so and has him fight supposedly high level body guards. Not only is it not satisfying, its breaking the rules IT established.
What exactly is the appeal here? A story with the most milquetoast conflict.
Goddammit. Please somebody tell me it gets better.
Yes it does! I'm gonna be honest with you at the start I was not captivated by the story a lot but as an artist I really liked the art/dynamic poses/face expressions etc so I kept reading (I didn't like it because I like to see the mc struggle and see a grow).
While I kept reading tho I realized that even if it's a martial art story you mostly see the growth of other characters physically but mostly you see the mental growth of the MC.
You see him understand better stuff that he didn't in his first like, give priority about others, slowly learn to see others as equal.
I recommend to read this while knowing that at least for now while fighting he will not struggle that much and most of the adversity are for comedy/will not struggle for much. But the mental/psychological growth? I liked it a lot. I passed from kinda not liking him to loving him.
So yeah for me it's about seeing the mental growth of the characters and not the struggle with fighting, you will see that more with side characters
I'm currently reading the novel, right now the mc seems op but trust me he's gonna go through hell ╥﹏╥, the novel is still ongoing and he's in deep shit rn
Hey can you pls give some spoilers. Pls
Trust me, you DON'T wanna be spoiled. Just know that the story is going to be doom and despair.....
That's the reason I really wanna know what's going to happen. Pls atleast a bit of spoiler
oh my god please dont scare us
Oh you should be ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
I really believe that spoiling will kinda ruin it, BUT I'm feeling generous today... SPOILER ALERT

Someone will leave Mount Hua and something big will happen to them, there will be deaths, but not the main cast. Also it will get VERY emotional and heavy, Chung Myung will not be in his best mental state, we'll learn more of his feelings about the past mount hua too and how the death of its past disciples during the war is still affecting him. I haven't finished the novel and it's still ongoing but from what I heard it doesn't get better.
( ̄∇ ̄")
Well you shloudn't be too scared for now because we're still very early in the story (lmao ik it's gon be very long), but just know that the comedy tag is a SCAM
You should give it a chance. It will captivated you for sure. The funny scenes of it are pure gold. You won't find another story like this. As for his power hmmm... I didn't question it so much. I guess I just accepted it as the power of the main character.
I am trying my best to understand the point you are takin on, because if you really read it to chapter 11. You know that he had gone through different training and your life force may be in half but your energy isnt. Hah. You look of op mc and gonna cry about it? Stupid rat.
jesus dude, I was already gonna give it another go after reading other ppls comment and genuine takes, but calling me a stupid rat because I didnt like an element and felt there was a contradiction is just rude.
If you re-read those chapters about the secret storage he literally says he will be BEDRIDDEN for a month, and then upgrades it himself to TWO months. He throws up blood and then is drawn to look exhausted and depleted. Its whatever at this point, I shouldnt come to this story for flawless battle logic, I get that now.
But man, buzz off. There was no need to be so rude.
Don't listen to that person twin, just a hater fr. May I advise you to read the novel if you really can't put up with the manhwa ? The novel shows waaaay more of each character's individuality and emotional depth in my opinion (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
