Luca actually made a wish to go back in time. So he has his memories from the original timeline and takes his aunt with him because he’s suspicious of her behavior. (He thought she was plotting something against him). But when she protected him from the assassin in the train he realized that she truly changed and actually cared for him. That’s why it surprised him so much when she said “it’s as if I’m selling you, which I don’t like” (can’t remember the exact words but she said something like that) because in the original timeline she did sell him for money.
I'm confused if he actually did go back in time shouldn't he be attached to the duke rn bc he sacrificed his life to protect him but now he just seems like he doesn't even like him??
I think he wants to avoid the tragedy because he died because of him.

He’s like that cause the Duke in his Past life told him he doesn’t actually love him, and said that he only saved him cause he felt responsible for him cause he’s his brothers Child which is the only reason why he is taking care of him, it made Luca realize he was truly alone and no one rlly loved him

From what I heard, before when the duke sacrificed himself for Luca, he revealed to him that he actually never cared for him even his family, because they just wanted to use Luca to save the family’s honor by having him marry the princess. And that the duke didn’t feel bad about it because he too had been used his whole life and didn’t know how to properly love someone.
I also read that in his last breath he said that he would probably go to hell and reunite with Lucas aunt (since in the original timeline the duke fell in love with the aunt at first sight but due to the circumstances he couldn’t get with her because of her harsh treatment against Luca)
