lowkey why does it make sense.. maybe a dumb take, but guwon worships (?), or highly values teach for lack of a better word. teach has taught him how to do simple tasks, but especially has taught him how to feel—thanks to teach, guwon has learned to be civil/human. if someone of that caliber and nobility wants him gone, why should he even bother trying to form a proper civilization? especially when he doesn’t know what that looks like. teach tries to challenge and correct him to the point that guwon idolizes his decisions
